I have a Lanier 5245. I am getting an error when

I have a Lanier 5245. I am getting an error when the unit starts up. A red light comes on the printer button. When I push the printer button the message window says:
Duplex is not set correctly.
Set duplex correctly.
I tried power off the copier and restarting ceveral times with no luck.

When a try to copy using duplex I get this message:
Reset the Duplex Unit.

I have power the copier off and on several times. Any thoughts?

Your duplex is the big box on the right side of the machine push the back side shut against the machine and try again

Examine the connectors of the duplex can be outside place some pin, also examine the sensor that is driven when the duplex is positioned can be dirty or out of position.

Lanier 5635 error code displaying a SC320


sc320 on the Lanier 5635 is a laser unit error code. Often if you power cycle the machine (turn it off with the orange power switch on the left side of the copier, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on) the code will clear and the copier will resume normal operation. If the error code comes back or doesn't clear, you'll probably need to replace either the entire laser assembly or the polygon mirror motor inside the laser unit. These are best done by a professional -- contact your local Lanier service company if the problem persists.

Lanier 5245 scanner light does not come on


Could be the exposure lamp or the lamp control board. You will need a service call or find some place to buy used parts and just swap them out.

Getting a red ''wrench'' symbol, spits out blank page when making copy, error message to turn off/on main switch which we have done, but doesn't clear the error. The red ''wrench'' symbol keeps coming...


Press "clear/stop" and "8" at the same time. An error code will be displayed as long as these two buttons are held down. What is the error code? Let me know, please.

I believe that model is a Richo in a disguise.... To get into service mode, first press the yellow C/A botton, then the numbers 1 - 0 - 7, then press and Hold the red C/Stop botton for a few seconds and the display will change. Then you are in the Service Mode... Good Luck

Did this happen after the machine was serviced? this is typically when it would occur...."LD pitch error"
Perform LD pitch adjustment with SP109-3, and SP109-4 (400dpi & 600dpi) or the ribbon cable on LD unit is blocking proper movement of the unit.

Lanier 5645 cannot reset printer red button just keeps coming on


when you press the 'red' button, it probably says 'paper mismatch, or load "XXX" paper, and you can override it by selecting one of your paper trays manually? It is likely a "legal size document' and you don't have legal size paper loaded, or something along those lines. Try printing the document after manually selecting the paper size/tray (turning off auto paper select) in your printer preferences dialog box on your PC first.
