Everything should be off before the program starts and should stop at the end of the cycle. For oddities like that, you need Miele Service. They are all computer diagnosed on the engineer's laptop computer. Sounds like a control board issue, but hopefully can be reprogrammed.
Could be motor overheating and shutting off. Need to check if drum turns freely. If it does check vent hose making sure it isn't plugged causing dryer to overheat. If motor is bad it will get worse and just not start
Hello, does the dryer drum turn? If the dryer drum is moving. Is the dryer blowing hot air, cold air, no air at all? Now, if it's doing everything mention above escept blowing hot air then you'll need a new heating element. If not blow air, then the drum belt is broken, belt off, or the drum motor has gone south. It was put for a quitt. Which mean in New Mexico, they fired me, I don't work, no job, finished, I'am out of here, don't bury me with my wires exposed. I hope I was some help to you. have a nice day and be safe, GB. stewbison
you have moisture in the system this causes your expancion valve to freeze up an stop working, thats why it works for sort time and when it de-freezes stars working again. you need to do a EVAC & RECHARGE with a good AC service equipment, specially attention to pull vacumm por at least 20minutes so you get all moisture out of the system.
Good luck
Depending on the type and make or model of dryer check drum turns, filters are not blocked or condenser is not blocked.then if all ok it could be the safety thermostats or the heating element.
I have a gas kenmore dryer... the drum runs- it blows air and for just a few minutes warm air but after a few minutes the air is cold. I have cleaned the vent checked it good. I didn't see the fuse on the back I have the bottom latch open and see several wires that can be disconnected; snap together.
Make sure that both poles of your circuit are live - An electric dryer uses 220 volts to the heating element, but taps into only one pole (110 volt) for the motor that spins the drum. Check your circuit breaker to make sure that neither pole has tripped.
Sounds like the drum is not turning under heavy load.this is a common problem with dryers but usually easily remedied if a competent diyer. first check the theory by putting in big load and see if drum turns. if not then replacing capacator should cure it.
