My Zen is not workin or playin. When i put it on,something called recovery mode comes up. It says"clean up,format all, reload firmware and reboot.I've tried everything except from format all(which will delete all my songs)but nothing seems to work. Help me.
You will need to re-fromat it. Yes, it does wipe it clean, but hopefully you have either a backup, or all the song files on your music player ( Jukebox, Windows Media ect...) At this point though, you may be in for re-occuring problems. Good Luck!

what can i do if stuck with recovery mode ? i had done reboot ,
format , clean up and reload firmware but it doesnt worked at all . does
it cannot be fix anymore ?
I had the same problem as your and it stopped working yesterday. After search for helps and now it is working again after I reloaded the firmware. But unfortunately everything is gone. You have to reload your musics again. You can try this out: 1) go to creative labs website to download the "Recovery Tool". 2) at Recovery Mode of your zen there are options: Clean Up, Format All, Reload Firmware, and Reboot. Try out Clean Up first if it still not working then try to Format All. After that try the Reload Firmware. After you done the Reload Firmware. 3) Shut down your Zen and try to connect it to your computer. Now your Zen will automaticlly power On and computer will recognize it as a drive. 4) Open the Recovery Tool you have downloaded at creative labs website. This tool will detect your Zen and follow it's instructions: It works with my windows Vista. Well, it works for me, I think it will work for your too. Good Luck!
May God bless.
What verson of Windows Media player have you got on your pc?
Find one with version 9 install the creative software and then try the reload of the firmware .Zen has problems with windows medai player 10 - 11.
Lotsa people are having the same problem with the firmware updates. Go check for your warranty, the product was working fine before applying THEIR firmware update.

I agree, use the Reload Firmware tool on recovery mode and then upgrade the firmware from the website. If you get "firmware failed!", then try it from a different computer.

Sounds like you have tried all the obvious. The unit may have a terminal hardware problem or an unrecoverable firmware problem. I suggest that you return the unit to a dealer and see if there support guys can produce a cure for you. I am looking for any other things that you may try. Will post any for you soon
