Vdo m5 bike computer has no speed reading . Cadence reading is fine. I replaced all new batteries. Just can't make it work, sometime display shows transport . Don't know what is that meaning ?

The computer goes into Transport Mode when it detects the bike is moving without the wheel moving (as on a car carrier) so that means the wheel sensor is not working. If you take a magnet and pass it right by the sensor several times and get no cadence count then the wire is broken or the cadence portion of the computer is non-functional. Unless it's the wire and you can fix it you need to buy a new computer.

Sigma wireless bicycle computer. Model BC 1606L. Wireless cadence monitor has abruptly stopped working. All other functions of this unit working perfectly. Transmitting unit and receiver have new...

Did you throw the magnet on the crankarm? If not check the alignment of the transmitter and the magnet - sometimes they need to be quite close. Sometimes they just fail. I have seen instances where cadence worked and speed didn't and vice versa - so the unit is transmitting perfectly, but one of the sensors has gone bad.

Cadence does not register on edge 705

This is probably a pairing problem. Device and cadence should be paired. Pairing is often lost when changing battery.

Pairing the Edge 305 and sensors
Once you have installed the Garmin Edge 305 and the cadence sensor they need to be paired. As they communicate wirelessly with each other the Edge needs to connect to each sensor before it can receive input from it.

The initial pairing needs to be done away from other wireless systems this allows the Edge to pick up the sensors it is supposed to be monitoring. This is a little like black magic, but it seems to work quite easily.

The cadence sensor has a small press contact which puts the sensor into pairing mode. The HRM just seemed to connect by itself.

Subsequent pairing is much faster as the Edge 305 seems to remember which sensors it is paired with. If you have problems or need to change one of the sensors then you can use a setup feature to either turn the sensor off or to re-pair it.

Garmin Edge 305/GSC10 Cadence and speed sensor

Had the same problem. Here is how I fixed it.
1. Changed the battery in the cadence sensor. (GSC10)
2. Turned on my garmin 305 edge outside to acquire satellites (probably not nec but did it anyway)
3. Pressed reset on the GSC10, saw red/green flash (what order?)
4. Here's the missing step: On the Edge unit, go to SYSTEM.
5. Scroll to bottom, choose ACCESSORIES.
6. On acc. page, go to bottom, under Cadence Sensor, to the option RESTART SCAN. Press That. Now your cadence and speed should work.
