Infocus Lp290 Will not stay on follow-up question

I have the same problem and I tried the solution offered with no success. Any other ideas...???

Resolder the fingers on the edge of the power supply where it goes into the main board edge connector.

Infocus X2 has discolor on the left side of image- what could this be.

the light tunnel is collapsing and will need to be replaced. you could either get the part from an infocus service center or send it to them to repair. either way, try av solutions in ny. they're really good. www.avsolutionsny.com

The tint changes colors, green to red to blue, etc. while it is on. What's wrong?

you have a problem with the main controller board. unfortunately, there are no replacements from infocus. sorry.

but try to clean and resolder the edge connector (looks like silver fingers) contacts on the power supply where it plugs into the green plug on the main board. the main board may be getting fluctuations in voltage due to poor contacts.

There is unfortunatelly no section in the Service Manual to explain this sort of procedure.

You'll have to move the LCD panels one by one - millimeter by millimeter.

Infocus Lp290 Will not stay on.

Check the area around the fan and make sure you have good airflow. Put a small fan near the unit and direct the air flow so it cools it and let us know.
