My printer panel lights are blinking like a flashing Chirtmas tree and the printer ask me to turn on and off and on and off. I've tried unplugging each adapter in the back and tried plugging the eletrical outlet to an outlet all by itself. I've moved the printer to a new area and unplugged and plugged it in and turne it on and off and it continues to read the same thing. What other options do I have or what can I do?
I had the same problem . . . the power supply was failing and could not maintain full voltage to the printer. Unplug the power supply and test the voltage at the plug. It should be 31.5v. If it's not, replace the power supply.
Hey, cleaning the printer carriage seemed to work for me.
Could be the printer carriage is binding, oil the rail and try again.
Your printer has a print head under the ink cartridges. You can try a cleaning, and if this does not fix the issue, you may need to replace the print head .
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response. Thanks, Joe

I am having the exact same problem on a d135 printer/scanner/fax... if there is a solution to this. please mail it to me at [email protected]
error: power failure. this is with fax function only.
did reset, checked all connections several times. odd thing is that faxes are going through despite error reading - and printer and copier work fine.
called repair place today. i said i use machine as needed, it's not on all day.
suggested i may be draining internal fax battery and to keep it on over the weekend and call with result.
I have the same problem when I try to print color.
I have identically the same problem with a d135. When turning off the printer, it re-starts, I get the blinking lights and message to turn of and on. . . . It doesn't work. On another hint from a different source, I unplugged the power, held the "3" & "#" keys for a re-set. This gave me a "partial reset" message and a frozen printer.
Does anyone have a clue?
I have an HP J6480 All-in-one and it keeps doing the same thing; all lights flashing, etc. After I power off and on, works fine. It's so irritating because this happens between every use.
