Re: Phone shuts off when I insert the micro sd with...
I had a problem with my LG Vu randomly shutting off and it had no memory card. I realized that there was slighlty too much room in the battery compartment and it would lose the connection and shut off. Your card could possible contribute to that problem by pushing the battery away from the connector. I fixed my issue by cutting a small piece off an old credit card and placing it at the bottom edge of the battery to give it a tighter fit. No problems since. Hope this helps someone.

Micro SD cards for cell phones
are now costing less and are holding more memory. 4GB SD cards can hold
an estimated 1000 songs, over 13,000 images, or 22 hours of video
individually. 2GB memory cards hold roughly half those estimates and
8GB SD cards would hold double. So if your cell phone
has a SD card slot learn how to utilize this expandable memory option
on your device. Follow these steps and you will soon be enjoying your
music, pictures, and video on your phone!
Insert your SD memory card adaptor (with micro SD card inserted)
into your SD Card drive on your computer. This should open a "Secure
Digital Storage Device" or similar window. If not, go to "My Computer"
to locate your SD card and open it.
transfer picture files to your SD memory card, open the folder or file
that your pictures are stored on. Simply click and drag a file or
multiple files and drop them into your SD Card window or folder. You
can also copy a picture and then paste it to the SD Card.

going My computer, Right click the Card reader (with you Micro sd card
inserted) and click format. Takes a few seconds. Insert the card into
the phone, the phone will auto put the folders on the card. Then go to
step 1 (above) and start again.
kk to add music make sure you syn the phone and the cp do the data and all then put .mp3 on all the media files and see if it works. Then if that doesnt go to computor format the card and then put it in the phone. Otherwise you need new stuff.
well...all you should know about the micro SD card is that you should format it, when it's inserted in the computer's card reading/writing unit... once (the first format) and don't put any file in it...insert it in the phone, and format it again (formatting is rewquiring FAT 16, or FAT file system in both formatting processes) after that, reinsert it in the computer's card reader/writer and find a way to defrag it...after that do a check with a disk checking tool, or program...and after all is ok...you can put any file type on, insert it in the phone, and restart the phone...if this doesn't work...the card is either bad, or the phone does not support it's memory size...
