I'm sorry, but to whoever proposed going to the Asus website, please note that everything there is available for download EXCEPT the makedisk RAID drivers.... as anyone tried with a 3rd party software or knows an alternative to this problem ?

thank you

pasbfu, I resolved the problem, u need to know that this motherboard has a southbridge chipset ULI M1573. (Nvidia purchased ULI some time ago)  problem with this ASUS MOBO it detects all SATA hard drives as RAID drives even if you have only one HD.

u need to go to this website :
    http://www.nodevice.com/driver/company/E...

and download the appropriate drivers... in our case it is:

RC410L/800-M2 ULI SATA Controller Driver diskette (M1573)

download this and copy the content of the "Folder image" onto a floppy...

next hit F6 at the windows installer when prompted to and select S with the floppy in.

Hope this helps a bit better

Hi, just Google the ASUS website and click on support and downloads. From there you will have a choice of products [for you motherboard] select your model, making sure you have the REV number as well as the model number. You will find all the drivers and manual downloadable from there. you can save the download and burn a copy.

No drivers for audio

If you have the support CD that should have been shipped with the mother board then insert it in to the optical drive and it should automatically run and bring up the drivers menu, select the audio driver and install.
If the CD will not auto run then browse the disc and double click the file ASSETUP.EXE from the bin folder and then select drivers from the main menu and install the audio driver.

No ASUS support CD? Go to the ASUS support web site at support.asus.com and select download from the menue and follow the instructions
