My motherboard cd is corrupt and i need makedisk.exe file or its substitute coz my harddisk is not getting detected when doing third party setup.
can anyone tell me where i can find the driver
I'm sorry, but to whoever proposed going to the Asus website, please note that everything there is available for download EXCEPT the makedisk RAID drivers.... as anyone tried with a 3rd party software or knows an alternative to this problem ?
thank you
pasbfu, I resolved the problem, u need to know that this motherboard has a southbridge chipset ULI M1573. (Nvidia purchased ULI some time ago)Â problem with this ASUS MOBO it detects all SATA hard drives as RAID drives even if you have only one HD.
u need to go to this website :
http://www.nodevice.com/driver/company/E...
and download the appropriate drivers... in our case it is:
RC410L/800-M2 ULI SATA Controller Driver diskette (M1573)
download this and copy the content of the "Folder image" onto a floppy...
next hit F6 at the windows installer when prompted to and select S with the floppy in.
Hope this helps a bit better

My motherboard is Mercury KVM800M. VIA K8M800 Northbridge and VT8237 Southbridge
The driver from Elitegroup also works for IDE drives, just an FYI.
Google website is very slow, dont use that shit!
Hi, just Google the ASUS website and click on support and downloads. From there you will have a choice of products [for you motherboard] select your model, making sure you have the REV number as well as the model number. You will find all the drivers and manual downloadable from there. you can save the download and burn a copy. Regards mistyman
SOURCE: need makedisk.exe driver which is found in cd which comes along with asus motherboard cd
