Camcorder works only when charging!!

Connect the charger to the camcorder. Plug the other end into the wall socket. Amuse yourself with some mindless task while the battery charges. Once charged, unplug the charger and the camcorder.

It's not supposed to charge through the USB port. Connect the supplied charger to the DC IN jack and plug the other into a power outlet.

You do not need a battery to run the camcorder off ac power supply. It is one or the other. The only time that both will be used is when you are charging the battery on the camcorder with the power off.

It is possible your battery is dead, or the camera is no longer able to charge from the battery.
Are you able to verify that the battery has a charge when unplugged?

Hi, Please charge your battery ( with camcoder Off) for at least 1 hour. Then unplug your charger and turn On your camcoder. If it can not turn on, it is apparently you have flat battery and need replacement.

If it is not battery fault then its charging IC or fuse damage.You can also use external charger to charge the battery

Check if the camcorder is just out of batteries. In my case, it seems you have to shut the camcorder off before you plug it in to charge it. otherwise you just run out of batteries.
