Frigidaire Dishwasher - Hot water is coming in but spray arm is not working. I have checked it for clogs and obstructions but still won't work.
I have the same or similar problem. The washer turns on sounds like it is working but when the cycle is complete none of the dishes are clean and the soap is running down the front of the door. Is this an impeller problem or a pump problem. How can I test it.
Thanks,]
DL
This all may be due to an impeller problem in the pump housing under the lower washarm. If the impeller is damaged/bad the pump will not circulate water through the wash system correctly. On most Frigidaire dishwashers the lower washarm and top pump cover can be removed fairly easily to check it out.

When a dishwasher has been checked for obstructions in the sump area and the spray arms can spin easily (by hand) plus the spray arm holes are not blocked, you end up with either a broken impeller or a failing wash pump motor.

Hello friend, thank you for your post!
Your water valve or spray arm could be the reason no water is getting to the top of your dishwasher. Remove the spray arm and clean it out with warm water. Also check to make sure that nothing is obstructing the spray arm from releasing water onto the dishes. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt
