I have several good suggestions on how to determine what the problem is, and if it's the remote control what to do about it. First off, if you think the remote control is broken, what I'd try first is try unplugging the television and replacing the batteries in the remote with new ones. I would leave the batteries and leave the tv unplugged for atleast a few minutes. If that doesn't correct the problem. You could take your remote to the store where they are still selling your exact television. If that's not possible than maybe its time to try purchasing a new remote. I would not recommend purchasing a universal remote, and go straight to finding a replacement remote that is the exact replacement for the remote that's broken. A site that's good is http://www.remotecontrolscenter.com/ and have a section specific to ILO Remote Controls.
