Check if the pipe or hose that supply water for the ice maker is not leaking. Look in the back of the fridge at the bottom part to see if frost is building up on the pipe then melting and putting water on the floor. Build up of frost on the line indicates low on freon or something is wrong with the fridge. It will still get cold but the frost will melt and put water on the floor.
If you hook up the water to the fridge, that means you connected the water line to the 'Water Inlet Valve' of the machine. There should be a two wire harness connected to the water valve back. Look for that....
But please note following...
Some water valves in fridges are complicated with one harness for water dispenser line valve and another harness for ice maker water line.
Also seeing a disconnected wire harness does not mean it is for the water valve. May be most likely. But be careful sometime there are test wire harness for technicians to get power readings for components.
Sounds like the defrost condensate drain behind the rear panel inside the freezer is frozen over. You will need to unplug the refrigerator and remove the panel. Defrost with a hair dryer and pour warm water into the tray that collects the defrost condensate and takes it down to a pan below your refrigerator to be heated and put back into the air inside your home. If for some reason it is not ice blocking the opening you will need to use a wet and dry vacuum cleaner to try to dislodge whatever is blocking the flow. Let me know what you find, Thanks, Sea Breeze
You need to remove the bottom two baskets, or more to make space. Using a hairdryer, defrost the back area. You should be able to locate a drain hole in the center below the freezer coils. This drain hole is connected on the outside to a drainpipe which has a p trap and often gets blocked up. You need to force water down the drain hole. You can use a turkey baster or similar type of plunger filled with water. Once you have cleared the blockage pour hot water till it runs freely. Hope this sorts your problem, don't forget to rate me.
well theres a couple of things it will do at that frequency.defrost cycles and may be making ice.defrost water goes down a drain.ice maker fills thru tubes.also the defrost drain could be blocked you would see ice on frezeer floor.you have to us your fingers and trace out those places to find leak
