I need to remove the CV joint from the axle to replace the Boot-2005 Toyota Sienna

I know of two methods a CV joint is secured onto a driveshaft - one method is a circlip that must be spread in order to release the joint and the other method is a round wire circlip.

The boot and surplus grease must be removed in order to find the circlip in the first example and in the second method a sharp blow with a soft hammer frees the joint after the shaft has been secured in a bench vice. The first method is more common with modern vehicles.

There is a third method where the outer joint isn't normally detachable from the shaft and the boot is either replaced by removing the inner plunge joint or by using a spreader over the outer joint and a special stretchable boot.

Renault used stretchable boots for decades and they have caught on and now are available for many models plus some sensible universal types and today even the physical effort of forcing the boot along a spreader has been removed by the introduction of a sort of air-powered speculum that will stretch the new type of boot enough to fit it over the outer CV joint.
Amazingly these stretchy boots are very durable and last longer than the standard rubber type, though perhaps not as durable as the semi-rigid plastic type.

It is important to assess the condition of the joint when changing the boot. If the old boot has failed dramatically and the joint has been exposed for quite a while, best practice would be to dismantle it and clean it thoroughly before re-greasing, etc.

Before executing the preceding "Cold boot method", please carefully
consider the following instructions and then decide on the cold boot
method.

1. After a cold boot is performed, if no buttons are pressed, when Pocket PC automatically completes the system startup process, the last display will be the Today screen. This is identical to the reset result.

Erase all data and load default?
The default is "No." If Yes or No was not

Are there any other methods on how to perform SAFEBOOT / SAFEMODE? I only know 2 methods which are from the F8 key on boot-up and from msconfig under the boot tab.. some say that there are still other...

There is ONE other method you can try, but do NOT make a habit of it, because you COULD damage your computer. That being said, I use this method when I have no other option.

You SHOULD be able to FORCE Windows to enter "SAFE MODE" by shutting the power off (or unplugging it) while the system is starting to load Windows. After you turn the power on, try booting the computer. The system should notice that the previous boot attempt failed, and the computer should automatically boot into Safe Mode.

Windows could start because the following file is missing or corrupt: system 32/drivers/pci.sys

Hello:

You can try repairing the installation of windows.

You need a windows installation disk or system recovery disk.
insert the disk in the CD/DVD RoM
boot your pc from the cd rom.
the system will prompted you repair , press r and then select the 1 or 2(most probably 1)
supply password of the administrator. if no password strike enter
Type: chkdsk /r then strike enter
the system will check and restore.
wait until completed.

If incase its a recovery disk:

boot your pc in the cd rom
the recovery disk you got to option;

either ; you partition and format the entire disk
or leave the current file only the system will be deleted and restore the new system( Something like that)

you have to decide either of the two option. you can try each option:

all of that will be corrected by installation of new windows: windows installation method is here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316941

Still stuck...

If you are referring to the NTLDR issue, you can achieve the same by booting from the XP CD and entering the Recovery Console, as outlined in methods 2 and 3 :o)
