LPs wobble on turntable.

The turntable turns smoothly but as soon as an LP is put on it, the record klicks up and down. It seems like something is interrupting it at the base of the tone arm but I don't want to fiddle and cause more problems.

Usually you can lift the turntable and check for problems. Sometimes there is a clip holding the turntable in place, but with small tools you should be able to get the clip free. Don't be too worried about getting the clip back on, as long as you aren't going to turn the unit upside down.....

My Audio-Technica AT-LP120 USB is "catching" when spinning, almost something is touching the turntable in one place, slows it down and takes off the right pitch.

Check the simple stuff first. Look at the LP you are playing for scratches. Even a light scratch can affect the player. Check the turntable platter and spindle to see if they are clean and set up correctly. The smallest bit of dirt can affect the turntable. Try this.
Check the playing needle is clean as a small piece of 'fluff' can cause drag as the record plays.
Remove the felt cover on the turntable then remove the platter the records sit on. It should pull up and off. Over time the platter settles in place so it might not want to come off easily. You might need a helper to push down on the spindle and turntable body to stop it lifting as you pull up on the platter. It might let go suddenly so be careful.
Inspect the platter on the top, edge and underside for dirt or anything that was trapped. Don't forget to check the hole as well.
Next check the area where the platter sits to make sure that it is also clean.
Finally check the drive spindle itself. Make sure the spindle is clean. Position yourself with the spindle at eye level and turn on the turntable to get the spindle turning, (try 45 rpm).
Watch the spindle to see if it wobbles as it spins. The spindle should spin with almost no wobble.
Refit the platter. Again go to eye level and spin the turntable. This will check the platter is fitted as level as possible.
If this doesn't sort out the issue you might need to get a specialist repairer to check that the parts inside the turntable aren't the cause of the problem.

33 Records are playing a bit too fast on my Wockoder Record Player... Is there any way to fix this?

Lots of quality turntables have a speed checker and a limited amount of speed adjustment.

Many ordinary record decks use a synchronous motor, the speed of which is regulated by the Hz of the mains supply and with mostly fixed gear ratios it is impossible for them to run faster - slower is the usual problem.

I expect there will be types driven by a dc motor and regulated by a switch mode power supply but I know nothing about them.

I suggest you begin by learning something about your turntable.

Some of the lps i buy do not fit the table. for instance, usually the edge of the record scrapes the arm stand. Now though, i have a record that wont even turn because it seems too wide. any idea?

I had the same problem, at first I would just gently file down the edges of the records with a nail file, but when they got too many I decided to tackle the root of the problem and used a sharp blade to shave off some of the plastic of the arm stand, about 1 mm. No problems since!

My Jensen JTA 450 is playing LPs too slow even though 33RPM is already set. The songs are slower than usual. Please help me.

The record that you are trying to play maybe a 45rpm recording. Some 45's were released in album size recordings.

VINYL PLAYER SLOWS WHEN I STACK A COUPLE OF LPS sounds funny play fine with just 1

The labels on the LP's stick up higher than the vinyl. These slip on each other when you stack LPs.
One LP sits directly on the turntable mat and has enough friction to turn.
The only solution I can think of is to put something 'tacky' on the labels but this might be detrimental to the label.

LP audio recording seems to be at the wrong speed

1- The turntable is set to 45 rpm and the album is recorded at 33 rpm. Press the 33 rpm button the red light should come on turn the and be fine.

or

2- This turn table has a fast record mode where you can record a 33 rpm LP faster by spinning it at 45 rpm. If you are trying to use this mode you will have to make a software setting to tell the TTUSB10 digital converter program what mode you want to run.
