Hi, try reloading your audio drivers first. If this is on board sound the drivers will be on the disk supplied with the system.

XP will also detect and run most onboard sound. If you have nl luck with the drivers then install a PCIE sound card, they are inexpensive and simple to install.

My recording has just disappeared after looking with zero size.

If you can listen to the recording, on the player, it must be a different format. Play the recording back whilst recording on your laptop, if your laptop has no internal microphone, buy an external one, for recording.

If the recording you made is not in a mp3 file format then the player cannot play that song/music.

How to import Olympus WS 110 audio files to computer.

Audio files need the right codecs to play them. Windows media player generally needs these to be added. Download the K-Lyte CODEC pack from the Major Geeks website. Always use the advanced mode when installing them, as they do like to change your browser settings or change your browser completely if you do the normal way.

After recording the DVD player, wont play on any other player

I have seen this on other players as well. What happens is the media your recording on is either too slow for the player and the player is recording faster than the media is supposed to handle. For some reason it works on the machine it was recorded on but nothing else.

Solution: Get media that matches the speed of the player.

If this is not the solution let me know I will get you one.

To listen to your recordings in the future: use M button, choice voice options and press play. I have not figured out how to delete my voice recordings yet.

Player freezes and wont record line in

There are two ways to format an Mp3 player - one on the computer itself, and one in Windows Media Player. Both methods will end up erasing all the songs on the player, but the player will be "good as new" after that. Sometimes reformatting in this manner will override the player's native formatting and cause problems - this can be reversed in most cases by updating the player's firmware. Firmware upgrades are available from most manufacturers' websites.

WARNING: The following procedures will erase all songs on the player.

Check if the file system is NTFS. If yes, format it to FAT or FAT32. - Connect player to computer, double-click my computer, right click on icon of mp3 player and select format. This only applies to Windows-based computers.
You can also format the player in Windows Media Player itself:
Connect your Mp3 player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "name of Mp3 player here 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
