Well, I didn't determine if you pushed the priming bulb a lot, but maybe it doesn't have one?

Have you poured a little gas into the carb to give it a jump start?

Did you press the priming bulb a dozen times to get the fuel flowing?

Check for trash in the carb somtimes when you run then out of gas small peices of dirt or on older motors residue builds up in gas tank and it gets sucked into the carb there should be a screen that you can clean

My Craftsman V20 battery powered weed-eater starts and stops after about 3 seconds. How can I fix this?

  • To fix a weed eater that won't start, check the fuel to ensure that you are using the correct gas-to-oil ratio for the weed eater. Then, you have to change the spark plug. After that, replace the fuel filter. Now, you need to review the starting process of the weed eater.

I have a Craftsman 32cc weed trimmer, can't give gas, it stalls

Usually the diaphram is wore out. It is a relatively inexpensive part. Does it run better with a little choke? If the answer is yes chances are it's the diaphram. Also sometimes the adjustment screws can move. There are two, one for low speed, and one for high. With the engine warmed up make small movements on the screws (some are marked low, and high) in, and out adjust til the engine runs at its optimum.
Hope this helps!
