Does the food get warm at all? My suspicion is you have a bad door switch. Do you open the door while the machine is running, ever? If yes, that is not good for the little contacts on the door safety interlock micro switches. I learned this by burning mine up. The switches are less than $ at a radio supply place and typically, you can change them yourself.

Unplug the machine. Remove the cover and you will find the interlock switches on the handle side of the door, probably on the right hand side. DO NOT TOUCH THE SILVER THING AT THE BACK SIDE OF THE MACHINE - IT IS POTENTIALLY LETHAL EVEN WHEN UNPLUGGED. If you have a volt ohm meter, you can test these switches for open and closed. If they read open when the door is closed, they (or it) is probably bad.
