Sanyo PLC-XU33 first has a green ready light and a bright red lamp light. Pressing the on/off button dims the red lamp light and the projector lamp comes on and goes through the 30 second count down. The projector first blanks for a second and then displays the image for about 10 seconds. Then the lamp turns off, the ready light turns off and the red lamp light gets bright. The unit goes through the 90 second cool down period and the ready light comes on again. No other lights come on, no warning light. Turning the unit back on repeats the same sequence of events.
When the image is diplayed for the 10 seconds I can access the menus, very briefly. It is very hard to view the configuration because the lamp turns off after 10 seconds.
Here are some things I tried that did not have any effect
* cleaned the filter
* removed the top cover and blew out all the dust
* removed lamp and checked for damage, dust build up or air flow blockage. Lamp appears to be in good shape.
* blew air through the unit while running using air compressor to rule out a bad fan
* pressed the reset button during power up to reset processor. Not exacty sure on the reset sequence.
Doesn't look like a heat problem and the warning light does not come on. Is there any way to perform a factory reset on this projector? Is there any way to connect up a serial port and get more diagnostic data?
Any help would be appreciated.
Its due to the complaint of the power ballast unit. Pls check your old lamp with another unit. It will work. For its repair below 4k. So immediately contact any one of the service centre in your area
This problem is common when original lamp is not replaced with that of the same brand & model ...which is too expensive ...isn't it ? ...but you can fool the projector lamp by using jumper at logic switching
