Why have I got a red light on the bottom of my shaver when I am using it

It is common for many Braun shavers, that if the indicator light flashes red while the shaver is being used (switched on and running), it means the battery is low and needs to be charged soon.

Below is an example from a manual for a Braun model 7526 shaver. You can search that site for other manuals if this is not the correct one.

This model shaver has 3 indicator lights:
1) Green (Charging)
2) Red (Low battery)
3) Blue (Power cord attached and plugged into the wall)

"The green charging light shows that the
shaver is being charged. When the rechargeable
battery is fully charged, the charging light
flashes or goes off.

If later on, the charging light comes on
again, this indicates that the shaver is
being recharged to maintain its full
capacity.

The red low-charge light flashes when the
battery capacity has dropped below 20%,
provided the shaver is switched on. The
remaining capacity will then be sufficient
for 2 to 3 shaves."

I have purchased a Braun proffessional care electric toothbrush and cannot charge it. I have tried three different plug adapters. I have changed the toothbrush at Boots 3 times. I have tried to charge it...

Your electrical socket may be wrongly wired, with polarity mixed up. Try another socket. Also, some electric toothbrushes need to be "off" to successfully charge. Maybe the flasing red light for 10 seconds is telling you the toothbrush is "on" and not accepting charge.

My SB600 seldom firing when triggered manually on the red flash button. Only 2 or 3 times flashing after 30 attempt. Tried with new battery but same problem occured. Help.

If you are firing the flash manually it's giving full burst each time and the battery needs to pick up the charge from the bottom. So just numbers her for an example with a full set of batteries you manually flash, first burst takes 5 seconds to charge flash again it'll take 10 seconds, if you flash it again before that 10 seconds it'll now take 20 seconds and if you push that button again it might misfire because it just can't get the power up high enough to fire it. The flash isn't a studio strobe which is plugged into an outlet, you are working with battery power and each time you flash those batteries are under a huge load and each time you fire you kill them a little more I'm surprised you are getting 30 flashes from those batteries. My guess at full power you are going to start having problems after about 12 to 15 flash bursts and it's a rapid down hill drop in performance from then on. If you took those batteries out of the flash after that series of 30 flashes I'll bet they are hot. What you can do to help is set the system up with Nikon's wireless transmitter and utilize the new i-TTL system then you are taking performance.

My camera wont charge correctly

I had the exact same problem so I went searching for an answer. Here's what I found and it really did work. I had to do it about 7 times... and I read others had to do it about 20 times. But worked for them as well. Good luck!!

My NP 20 gave me the flashing red light of death and I got Casio to replace it. Then I had the same problem with my second NP 20 so I dug around for a way to fix it and I found the following advice on a site called FixYa. It worked instantly and I didn't risk ruining my battery.

BT500V won't charge

This happens because the battery gets too low to take a charge.
To jump start the headset, connect the power lead and the LED will be flashing red. now press and hold the power and BT pairing buttons. The LED should change to solid red.
I found that holding both buttons for about 3-5 minutes allowed the battery to get enough charge to start charging and you can release the buttons and the headset will continue to charge.
If the led starts flashing again, just repeat the process again.

Flashing Red LED charging light

You can salvage your old battery. Sounds crazy but you can take a 9 volt battery and jumper it to the old battery . It will put enough charge in the np-20 to make it start charging in the cradle. Takes about 20 seconds.. make sure you go + to + .. the size of the 9 volt fits perfectly.

Battery will not charge

I found this while searching to find an answer to solve my problem. It worked! Some say that it took them about 20 times... it took me about 7. Be patient and just keep trying! Hope this helps!

Intermittent lack of full charge

It's the holiday season - take it back to where ever it was purchased and tell them you got it for Christmas and you would just like to exchange it for one that works. They have a 2 year warranty, if you want to go the hard way. You won't need a receipt, or a box. I spoke with Braun Customer Service and they advised me to just take, the one I had, back to the store where it was purchased, and get a new one. This is a great time of the year to exchange it. The Braun Customer Service number is 1-800-BRAUN-11. I'm glad, I just exchanged the one I had, because, my father says it's the best shave he has ever had.
