I have an Asus Q200e running Windows 8 (not 8.1) and the keyboard is locked (just beeps when I press any of the keys). Though the touchscreen keyboard works fine. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Well I know something that might work. don't shoot me if it doesn't.
first of all, make sure you're laptop isn't charging, then take out the batery from the underside. then press on the ON button for about 30 sec. when you've done that you can put the batery back in and start your laptop. your keyboard should be working.... hope it helps :)

Press Fn + Numlock. You have the number lock on, but laptops don't have a number pad. So it re-assigns these keys to overlay some existing ones. Once your number lock is turned off you should be ok.

I recommend reinstalling Windows using the original recovery media from Asus. That should have all of the original drivers and software needed. You can alway upgrade to Windows 7 ultimate after that.
