Set will not turn on!! please help

The LED on my 61swx12b will light for a split second, but then will shut down right away. I have the back panel off and the DP1X power board pulled out, and the convergence pwb pulled out. Can someone point me in the right direction as to what to test? I have my multimeter in hand, just no direction. Can I remove each board one by one and try to power up to see which board is the issue???

There is only one LED on the front of this tv. It is the status LED that is lit when the tv is on and off when the tv is off.

Are you talking about a different set of led's?

When I turn on the tv the red power light comes on and immediately shuts back off again. ( in other words the power comes on and goes off again right away. What could be the problem?

Have a 55" pioneer rear projection tv, was working great, turned it off and when turning back on it comes on for a split second and it shuts off

Take the back of of your set. You should see if there are leds on the circuit boards that light up when you try to turn on set. Use these for reference.
If only D146 on the power supply lights up then the problem is the power boar.
If D1503 lights up then the problem is the audio circuit on the amp board.
If D2614 then the shut down is due to lack of vertical deflection. It could be caused by a defective amp assy or convergence control assy. Checj for convergence drive signal at CN2302 pin 1. If missing, IC2308 on convergence control assy is probably defective. You can confirm by checking blanking signal input on pin 1 of IC2308.

Ps turns off straight away. was midway though a game when suddenly shut down and then when trying to restart the system, it automaticly turns off. no ejection option available ...or anything for that...

It sounds like yellow light of death. If you answer yes to these questions then thats what it is. I have a step-by-step instructions on how to fix it.

1. When you turn your console on, when it turns off does it beep 2 to 3 times before shutting down?

2. When it does shut down right before it does pay attention to the lights, do you see a yellow on blink once for a split second?

3. Afte the console shuts completely off does the red light just sit there and blink?

RCA DLP Model # M50WH74S Problem: Replaced blown lamp, when plugging it into AC, blue LED lights up right away for 2 or 3 seconds, then shuts off. Waited for a few seconds, and relay will click on and...

The blue led dies because the power source dies: it detects a big short on one of its outputs and shuts down to protect itself automatically. Since apparently it's a very big short and you just had to replace the bulb then the faulty part is the ballast board (the one that powers the bulb): when the bulb failed it has generated a power surge that fried it.
Replace the ballast and verify the power source board: if you're really unlucky when the ballast got fried it has in turn damaged the power board.

Hi my name is Roety,
I can help you with your issue ,
First of all lower the blue and any other screen controls or service menu settings back to where they were or lower.
Then see if it powers on again with a picture.
If it still shuts off, unplug the Blue CRT circuit board and see if it works.
If it does work the blue CRT may be shorted .
Your problem may have been corroded CRT pins.

Standby LED flashes red 4 times with pause then 4 times

You either have a bad fan or one of the rotation sensors mounted on one of the fans has failed. Take the back off the set and see it the main fan slightly right of center is rotating. If it is, there are two more fans, one mounted right above the lamp and another on the optical block itself. You will have to pull the optical block to check those.

stairmaster 4000 won't turn on. It has a reset box attached. The cord to an outlet runs out from that box. I press in the long needle like red plastic button. The red light on the rest box turns on (red light), but only stays on for a minute, then shuts off. No power goes to the machine even for that one minute. I would guess a fuse was blown, but I am just guessing... and I do not know where this fuse would be, even if it had one.
