Phone problem The phone suddenly stopped being able to phone out, it received incoming calls only, giving a busy signal when trying to phone out, my daughter tried to 'register' the handset using a 1111 code? Now it just displays 'not sub' on screen! Can anyone tell me what might be wrong, and what to do about it as I do not have any books to help!

Incoming calls on Sony Ericsson K800i used to prompt Answer/Busy options, but recently I get Send/Busy, both resulting in sending a busy-signal.

Try disconecting the base unit from power and phone line for 10 minutes and also remove for a minute and reinstall the battery on the hand unit.
Should reset to factory settings.

Best to you

My phone when called is giving a busy signal

If you have a number of phones installed in your home, disconnect all of them. Then plug in the one at the main incoming junction box to the house. Preferably use an old wired phone. Then test if the incoming calls connect. If they do, the number of phones has exceeded the REN Value set by your Telco. If the phone is still giving a busy signal, contact your Telco and report it as a fault on the line.

Urgent help needed Panasonic phone can't call out or receive calls

Disconnect all the phones. Then plug in one simple phone to the main incoming phone jack. This is normally a larger box and near the front door or incoming power distribution board. If that works, you have a faulty phone somewhere in the house. If that phone fails, your telco cut you off or there is a line fault.

Why will our Samsung IDCS not allow any incoming or outgoing calls all of a sudden?

This could be a telco problem. Contact Samsung and your carrier to inquire.

Cant receive faxes. constant busy signal when dialing in.

Hi Janet
Try using a standard phone to call your Fax Line
Connect a phone to this Line to test for voice
Disconnect Fax Machine from Phone Line
Reset Fax machine
The Fax machine is supposed to respond to the right tones being sent down the voice line
If it is not responding & all else works then check your Fax settings for "Receiving"

Why made phone early now cant just get busy signals?

Sounds like your phone or line is now short circuit and is holding the line so it appears busy to incoming callers. Try disconnecting the pnone and line right up to the incoming point of your house to find the problem.

Can not receive calls. Can call out, but incoming calls give a short beep and then a busy signal.

Is this a cordless phone or a land line. Have you tried another phone ?You might wanna talk to your tel service provider.

We cannot receive faxes. Gives a busy signal.

Unplug the phone line from the machine. Wait a few minutes then try calling your fax number from a phone while leaving the phone line disconnected from the machine. If it rings fine from the phone, then re-install the phone line to the fax machine. Try making the call again. If you now get a busy signal then the modem in your fax machine has gone bad and is holding the line open. Make sure when installing the phone line you are placing the cord into the "line" port on the machine and not the phone port.
Good Luck and thank you for using Fixya.
