Sony,KDF-50WE655 TV fail to power on.flashs green, then led go red and keep flashing, also hear popping sound coming from rear.
there is a small pc board with fs1 flashs when the popping sound is bein made. this brd.part number appears to be 3816910127?. i do not have a diagram to ID the part.

5 times Red LED blinks means Lamp Driver Error. (KDF-55WF655) 2 possible reasons, either Lamp is gone or Ballast Supply got bad. Replace lamp first, in most cases it solved the problem. How old is this TV and did you replaced lamp recently? Thanks.
If the lamp light is flashing you have a bad lamp, this is a user replaceable part. I believe on this model it is located in the front under the panel where the power button is. To remove this panel: on the back of the tv on either side near the bottom edge there will be two screws that can be tuned by hand or by using a coin. You then pull the front cover off it will be a little stiff you need to tug a little bit and you will hear several pops, the pops are the grabbers letting loose, behind and toward the middle of the tv you will see a door, it is also another thumbscrew, remove this door and the bulb is in here, the bulb will cost somewhere in the neighborhood for about $200.00 they are easily available from many electronic shops.
