Check the cables because this sound comes when the polarity of wires interreact with each other.

GV42L HDTV picture ok but no sound.

Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. Fret buzz only on E string. Adjusted truss and action, and still buzz. Some relief when I turn bass knob higher than the rest

This sounds like a worn nut groove. The string is sitting too low. Does the buzz happen all the way up the neck or just on open string?

Bass speaker buzzing

I've had this problem too multiple times. Usually when it happens, the battery dies soon after, and once I replace the battery, the buzzing goes away. If you are having the same problem as me, try putting a fresh battery in :)

Vizio GV42l buzzing

Vizio makes an ok LCD, but if you notice they no longer make plasma. they stopped last year. Anyways. the buzzing sound is semi serious, it sounds as though you have a capacitor leaking. It is best to get it fixed before it goes out all the way, with it buzzing it will be easier to identify. Best of luck

Vizio gallivea some tv channels are in spanish and no sounds

GO into the customer menu with the remote and look at the audio settings---I would bet you will find SAP has been selected; this will give you some channels in spanish( SAP means secondary audio program) Monday night football and some other programs offer this for Spanish speaking people. Change the setting to Stereo or Mts away from SAp

I do this here for free so if this helps you give me a vote here---if you have questions or need help contact me by replying to this post.

GV42L Vizio HDTV Problem

You didn't mention whether you have any audio; details like that can influence the response.
If you have audio but no visible video, look at the screen from an angle for 10-20 seconds to see if any video is present. If you do see some shifting shadows on the screen and have audio, the backlight or its power supply (inverter) has probably failed.

Vizio 42'' HDTV flatscreen

The TV usually hums when the backlight setting is too low. So turning it up should get rid of the problem. To do this please follow these instructions:

1. Turn the TV on.
2. Press the Menu button on the remote, located right below the channel changing button.
3. Press the down direction button, located at the middle of the remote. Press that button until the backlight is highlighted.
4. Press the right direction button until the backlight is at 100.
5. Press the OK button and then the Exit button until you get back to your picture.

No audio on vizio from source

there should not be a special setting that you need. When hooking the analog audio to the HDMI 2 input, it should read automatically. Note: The HDMI Input is for HD Video and will only support 640x480 at 60Hz from a PC. Use the RGB
PC input for a greater selection of PC formats.
