Need a picture where is the gas filter on a cherokee jeep 1996

1996 Cherokees do not have air conditioning filters.

You might want to replace plugs and drive a tank of fuel (and your cleaners) through it.

CHECK FUEL FILTER AND HAVE A TUNE UP....

well first off if is a 1996 i am almost 100% sure it doesent have a carb on it. and if its not getting gas u should try changing your fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator. hope this helps u out, good luck to u

You meant the fuel pressure regulator? It is located on the fuel rail and has vacuum attached to it. This is not the problem with your car tho. Check the ignition module, and the ignition coil.

That is possible, especially if your fuel filter was marginal to begin with. Change it and pour the contents of the old one into a glass jar If you see any water in there at the bottom, you will need to drop the tank. Otherwise, if it runs better, you are OK.

What problems are you having? There is only one filter on it, and unless you had very low fuel pressure, changing the filter really doesn't do too much.

does your jeep run rough? idle is real low? and when you are driving and push the gas hard it doesnt want to move? if so it is most likely the mass air flow sensor. i had to replace that 2 or 3 times on my 1999 jeep cherokee

U have to check you injectors, if this is not the problem check your fuel filter it not getting gas and then check your gas lines, Get a compressor and blow the lines out, Look for rust and dirt.

If this don't work try checking you injectors again then check to see if your getting enough gas? Pump the gas peddle then go to the hood and see if you smell gas? if not? it your fuel pump orFuel Filter, and or lines clogged up. If your getting gas up to the front of the motor then it in your injectors? it one or all.

on 2000 grands it will give you a fuel pressure pro blem code when it time to change it,but thats up to you,filter is mounted on chassis near gas tank ,squeeze on white plastic tabs pull hose out,gas will leak out of filter ,unhookother hose ,install new one ,make sure filter is installed in right flow direction
