Check and replace the main power regulator [SMPS] board to your TV. Contact any service technician, or the authorized service center for Mitsubishi. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy.

Older set with very common issue--someone would have to get the chassis free and up so bottom of the boards face rear of set---look for bad solder connections--if you can get it up and know how to solder I can tell you where to look.

check the power supply section.. probably the electronic component got problem.

I think it's called "tubes" for the TV, the projection tubes are messed up, and you probably killed your bulbes. Very expensive to fix, just part out what can be used and get a new TV, or get a 60" tv with a smashed screen, and reuse your screen. People sell those on craigslist.org all the time with broken screens because they do not know how to replace them for only 100-200$

PVAT!!Look for bad connects--start w/easy first. Power supply,then vertical IC pins,then regulators.Take your time,be thorough.

I usually find that symptom you describe is caused by cracked solder joints on the power regulators or vertical output IC. I have also seen that symptom caused by loose solder joints on the vertical windings up inside one of the yokes. If you have experience in repairing TV's then you can disassemble the set and pull the main chassis, flip it over and resolder all of the parts mounted on heat sinks. If you do not have experience in repairing projection TV's then allow a qualified tech to handle it for you.
