SOURCE: lens opens when turned on but nothing appears in the lcd cannot take pictures

I had that problem and found that plugging it in to my pc and downloading the photos ticking remove photos from camera worked
I think it is because I filled the memory card.
plus the camera charges while attached to pc.

I hope this helps

SOURCE: Transfering photos back to memory card

Hi, Welcome to FixYa.

You can do it through your laptop's card reader or using a card reader device.

Take your memory card out from the camera and put it in the
adapter(a card holder) given to you. Now you can use it in Laptops
in built-in card reader/ card reader device.
If the SD memory card is read only this will not work, otherwise
this way you can copy photos to Card very easily. Also you can copy
photos from memory card in the same way

SOURCE: DC280 Kodak Camera- Everything is working fine

Take the batteries out of the camera and let it sit for around an hour. Turn your dial to "set up", then put the batteries back in and turn the camera on, it should ask you to reset the date and time on the LCD. If it doesn't, your camera is essentially dead. Buy a new Panasonic FZ35 if you can afford it. Best All Around Camera I have ever had including the more expensive SLRs.

Recently purchased a Canon 550D and when previewing an image on the camera, it appears fine. After switching it on and off, the image appears as a small version with "Can not display preview". ...

you maybe taking shots in raw which is fine but depending on what OS you have and computer hardware might mean your pc is struggling to open them. might want to check your photo resolution settings by pressing menu button and on the first list you should see the quality mode your using try taking shots in jpeg see if that helps.

if its already taking photos in jpeg then i highly recommend downloading picasa as it has an excellent photo viewer which you can enable as your default photo viewer. opens raw and jpeg photos no problem.

I cannot see anything when in camera, film, or view mode. When I snap a photo, it sounds like a picture was taken and the flash still goes off, but nothing is displayed on the screen. Only when I attempted...

Does it show pictures on the computer or is it black images, if they are black, your cameras lens cover could be stuck, it opens up when the lens is fully open, dirt-sand and dust or old grease causes the problem. otherwise your LCD on the camera could be off by mistake, (Do a camera reset) or a bad LCD

You could reinstall the Kodak software or download another photo viewer and install it. You need to make sure the photo viewer will allow you to open with straight through double clicking. Most do.

Samsung Digimax L730 Digital Camera

I encountered this issue today while taking a photo of my dog she licked the lens... the LCD screen went all blurry and I was unable to take any photos. The thing kept beeping at me and I was about to throw it in the bin until I had a good look at the lens. As there was a picture coming through on the LCD I knew it wasn't completely stuffed however as the camera couldn't focus an image it gives the unhelpful beeps which apparently translates to clean the lens! So i gave it a clean and presto it was fixed!

Just be careful when u clean it make sure u don't scratch the lens with rough material or use chemicals. Hope it works.
