Checking c3434 I've got the 'got sound no picture' problem as well. Several sites suggested checking C3434. Where is that bugger located? I've spent a hour searching for it.

    I've got sound, no picture. Back 1988 I got a degree in electronics.  I don't have the schematics for this TV. Elsewhere on this site it was suggested Zenith's from the SY2788DT line had a consistent problem with that capacitor.  I can not locate that part on the board.

From its code no. in ZENITH tv  it seems to be located in power supply.(c3434)

please do not touch any thing if you are not  a tech person as you might be knowing that tv has very high voltage.

can you explain in details? so we can help you.

    it may not be exact but you see power supply 100%



    you will get idea.



    as you are a electronic graduate so you can solve problem,.

    capacitor is also part of power supply.
