Laptop originally wouldn't let keyboard work. Mouse and internet connection would work, but the keyboard wouldn't work. Keyboard would however work in DOS or CMD mode. I'm talking about the built-in keyboard. After rebooting and trying to system restore it finally started working for a few minutes in normal startup would blue screen to say int15.sys Driver is attempting to access memory after it has been freed. Have run several registry cleaners and even renamed sys files that seem to be not working. Still won't work in normal mode. Can use keyboard and internet in safe mode, but have given up on getting it to run in normal mode. Please email me with answers at [email protected] as I'm having a lot of trouble reading webpages in safe mode. Thank you.
The integrated keyboard, touch pad, and power button stopped working for me.
On what may be a related note, I also have a yellow exclamation point in the device manager referring to the SM Bus Controller. This is related to the ATI Sound/Modem hardware. I was able to temporarily fix the keyboard issue by uninstalling the webcam, modem, and SM Bus Controller, but until I can solve the problem with SM Bus, I sense this will be a recurring problem.

Sounds to me like a glitchy install. Try reinstalling the operating system and ensuring that you are using all the updated drivers for your hardware.

is your system overheating? have a 5050 myself. running in normal mode kills it with the processor dieing and the keyboard and touch panel practically ceasing to function. running in safe mode is less stressful and therefor the system works with relative ease. this however doesnt solve the problem.
i have no clue about filthy laptops normally. doing this as a favor to sum1. upon a tiny bit of reading a simple solution could be to use compressed air on the vents to remove any dust/**** build up on your fan/heatsink which should prevent the problem... or so they say. the vents on the 5050s prcessor and heatsink however are quite small and it could possibly require you to take off the plastic manifold first.
SO, this brings us to the most important part. if your product is stll under warranty(unlikely given the age of the product and date of your post) or if you've paid for a warranty/service contract, then dont fidle with it and get them to fix it for you, if you do you could void you warranty or not live up to your contractual agreement and be screwed. if not. then fidle away. what have you got to lose.
