#43-3906 MY PHONE HAS NO DIAL TONE.IT RECIEVES CALLS ON THE CALLER ID, IT RINGS, I CAN EVEN DIAL OUT, BUT IT HAS NO SOUND.ITS SMALL LIKE A CELL PHONE IT ORINGINALY CAME WITH A HEAD SET.I BOUGHT IT AT A GARAGE SELL STILL BRAND NEW NEVER BEEN CHARGED UP.THE GUY SAID HE BOUGHT FOR THE HEAD SET ONLY THATS ALL HE WANTED.I CHARGED IT UP FOR 24 HOURS BEFORE TRYING IT.ANY IMPUT WOULD HELP.THANK-YOU

Are you using it with a headset?
This is a headset only phone, so you won't get anything into or out of it without one. Good luck!

Alright check with ringer volume and change the phone cord and reboot the base and check

Does the fast dial tone persist, or do you get a regular dial tone after a couple of seconds? If the latter, then you have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

'unknown caller when someone calls by using phone dialer' sounds as though the dialler is blocking its identity, which you can prolly do nothing about.

Hello, my phone has been very wierd. when someone calls me, it will have a voice be saying, call from so and so. and i want it to be just a ringtone. please help!
Which phone are you using ? Check your applications if your have installed any software like Voice/Talking Caller Id or something similar . This software will be the reason the Caller id is a voice and not a ring-tone. Even check the settings in ring-tone if you and option to switch off Voice Caller id. Either uninstall the software or disable the software from the options within.

  • If you answer the call, the number (or number and name) stays on the display until either you or the caller hangs up.
  • If you do not answer the call, most display units keep a record of the calls received, including the phone number (or number and name), date, and time.
  • If the letter P, priv, private, or a similar term appears, the caller may have blocked the display of his or her number.
  • If the letter O, ????, out of area, or a similar message appears, the caller either is in an area that does not support Caller ID or has placed the call using operator assistance.
  • Caller ID comes with Anonymous Call Rejection, which, when active, allows you to reject calls from callers who block their number. Your phone does not ring, and the caller hears a message saying blocked calls will not go through.
    • To turn on Anonymous Call Rejection, press
      *77 on a touch-tone phone (or dial 1177 on a rotary phone)
    • To turn off this service, press
      *87 on a touch-tone phone (or dial 1187 on a rotary phone)
