Your print head may be dirty. Remove the ink carts and examine the print heads.

You should also examine the printer for a printer head parking location or cleaning pad (usually off to one side, where the cart sits when not in use or there is a pad on the side to use in cleaning the print head.)

If the print head is dirty, clean it with a soft cloth.
If the landing pad or cleaning pad is dirty from a leak, you may need to remove it or replace it.

Does printing sound normal? It is also possible that worn rollers may cause the page to advance incorrectly.

My Epson L120 won't print on both sides whenever I print on my Mac OS: Monterey?

Unfortunately, 2-sided printing is only available for the Epson L20 when used with the Windows OS. See page 22 of the user guide available here: https://www.epson.com.ph/Ink-Tank-Printers/L-Series/Epson-L120/s/SPT_C11CD76401?review-filter=Mac+OS+X+10.11.x#manuals . The current link to the manual is http://support2.epson.net/manuals/english/ij/l120/pdf/npd4965-00.pdf . You might be able to use the Duplex feature if you install BootCamp and an licensed version of Windows (XP up to WIndows 10). Neither BootCamp or licensed copies of Windows are free.

I wish that I had better news for you.

Even with new ink cartridge printer prints light

Double click Control Panel.
Double click Printers and Faxes.
Right click your printer and select properties. Now on General tab select "Printing Preferences".

Now select the basics tab and click "Advanced features" found on the right of the page.
Here you will be able to adjust the amount of ink that is used to print a page. Side the bar to the right to increase/darken the print.

Now click OK, followed by Apply.

Take care!

After changing theblack ink cartridge in the DX4400 the printer will not print, i have `run` through several copies only to get `faint horizontal lines` on the copy paper, would you have any idea what i...

Do you get the lines when copying only or when printing as well? If you only have the issue when copying, then the scanner part of the printer could be the problem. If the issue happens when both copying or printing, then the issue more than likely resides with the printing mechanism of the printer.
I'm not familiar with this printer model, but here's a few things to check:
  • Remove the ink cartridge and re-seat it into its cradle. While it's out, make sure there's no left over tape covering the nozzle of the cartridge (like HP cartridges have).
  • Epson ink cartridges include a microchip inside them that monitor the ink levels of the cartridge. Once the ink gets below a certain level the cartridge will no longer work. If this is an older cartridge, the issue could be resolved by getting a new one. If this is a brand new cartridge, it could be that the cartridge is faulty or that there is an issue with the printer itself.
Good luck! -Ingo

I replaced the printhead back in january, but did not use the printer. it has been packed up until now. i replaced the ink cartridges and put in the new print head. but cannot see the text or anything...

It is not clear which print head you changed. some time the printer, if it has 2 different print head, for black and color, you may have to try changing the black print head.
But before doing all that , make sure that the ink cartridges are full.
print an alignment page and then try to make a standalone copy.

clean the ink cartridge with lint free cloth. Also check the preview of the text before printing.

You may also try to do a complete uninstall and then reinstall of the printer driver.

While printing multiple copies in black the printing starts fadding after the first copy and gets worse, after 4 copies you can know longer see the printing. I thought it was the cartridge but it still...

That machine is very problematic. See reviews on Google. If your using HP ink then just save yourself the grief and replace the machine. if you have generic ink cartridges in the printer, replace them with OEM. Also, replacing the Printheads may fix the problem. Printheads and Ink cartridges both only have a 1 year shelf life. If they are out of date (date is stamped on them). Replace and retry.

Printing with double lines and blurry on left side of the page

Print cartridge
When the print cartridge contacts are dirty and the printer cannot detect/communicate with print cartridge.
Clean the contact points on the cartridges with a dry, lint-free cloth.
1. Open the top cover of the printer.
2. Remove the print cartridges.
3. Clean the copper-colored contact points on the cartridges with a damp, lint-free cloth. Use a dry, lint-free cloth to remove moisture from the contacts.
5. Insert the cartridges back into the printer.
6. Close the top cover.
7. Try printing again.
If you still cant communicate try with new cartridge .

How do you check ink levels

Introduction This describes how to check the estimated ink level in the cartridge. NOTE: Ink level warnings and indicators provide estimates for planning purposes only. When an indicator shows low ink levels, keep a replacement ink cartridge available to avoid possible printing delays. Ink cartridges do not need to be replaced until print quality becomes unacceptable. Checking ink levels Perform the following steps to check the estimated ink levels: NOTE: If you have installed a refilled or remanufactured print cartridge, or a cartridge that has been used in another printer, the ink level indicator will be inaccurate or unavailable.
  1. Open the Printer Toolbox . There are two ways to do this:
    • Click Start and select HP Solution Center . Select the Settings menu, then the Print Settings submenu, and finally the Printer Toolbox .
    • In your printing application, click File , click Print , and click Properties . Click the Services tab, then the Service This Device icon.
  2. The Printer Toolbox opens. Click the Estimated Ink Level tab. A cartridge may be running out of ink even if the graphic shows ink remaining (see the note at the start of this section). Lines or streaks always appear in printouts when the cartridges begin to run out of ink. Replace print cartridges that are out of ink or low on ink. Figure 1: Estimated ink levels
