Hello rricheyer: My name is Roger and I Can answer this question for you. If it was a fuse the turn signals would not work or light. If the flasher works but slows down or stops the problem is the flasher. Easiest way to find it is key on turn signal on. Listen for the flash and follow the sound. Install a new flasher and this should solve your problem. If you need a location of where the flasher is. Please send year, make and model of your vehicle. I will send the information to you. Please rate the quality of your answer as this lets us know you received the correct information from me. Should you need more help please just ask. Thank You for using FixYa.Roger

Blinker lights not working on my dodge ram 1500 1996. Emergency lights work fine and fuse isn't the problem. No arrows turn on when turning the blinkers on but the emergency lights are working fine. Can...

I bet your blinker flasher is not working. Most likely it uses two flashers, my Intrepid did. Somewhere (probably near the fuse box) and likely under the dash you will see a board with relays and stuff plugged in. You will also see two round things, those are most likely the flashers. Swap them if they are the same, then your hazard lights won't but your blinkers will, at least until you get to the store to get a replacement.

Both blinkers don't work but flashers do

There should be a flasher unit on the fuse box under the dash for the turn signals and another behind the dimmer switch for the hazards.
Sometimes one of the flashers is behind the fuse box in the glove compartment if equipped.
Don't be surprised if the flasher is not the problem. Most of the time the problem is the multi-function switch on the column.
There are stories online about using WD40 to take care of the switch problem.

Turn signals blin continually

There is only a few things that can cause blinkers to blink continually, meaning if your saying they wont shut off, Normally it is the blinker flasher or a fuse. Sometimes it can be in the blinker switch itself. I first would check the flasher, and turn signl fuse. If the blinker stays on and does not flash, still can be bad flasher or fuse or a ground problem, You would then have to check the wires around area where there contact to the tail light blinkers and front blinkers. But first start as said earlier with checking flasher fuse, switch and fuse. Mike

Turn signals dont blink.

You need to replace the turn signal flasher, it's a cylinder shape and may be silver or gold in color. When it goes bad, the turn signals stop flashing. Good luck and keep me posted.

Where is the flasher relay unit

1ST double check that all the bulbs for the pass. side turn signals are working. if even one is out it can make the blinker not "blink". so compare the pass. side lights to the driv. side to make sure u did not miss something. NEXT,if thats not the problem, then u can locate the flasher by 1ST looking in the fuse box(probably inside the glove box or under the drivers side dash) theres a good chance it might not be there(years ago every car had the flasher in the fuse box) SO TURN ON THE DRIVERS SIDE BLINKER (key on) and LISTEN OR FEEL UNDER THE DASH FOR THE FLASHERS NOISE--LOOK NEAR THE STEERING COLUMN,BRAKE PEDAL, EVEN BEHIND THE ASH TRAY!! hope this helps you!
