Insert a blank diskette into the floppy drive. Click start click on computer you should see all of you drives.
Right-click on Drive A. You will see the option to format the drive.
Click on Format. Depending on your operating system, you will see an option that reads either "Create a system disk" or "Create a MS Dos system disk." Click the box next to this option.
Click the "Start" button to begin formatting the disk. When completed, you will have a bootable floppy disk. For CD Rom or DVD disks
Open the software that you use to burn or write files to the CD-rom or DVD drive.
Click on "Make a Data CD or DVD." Insert a blank CD-R or DVD-R disk into the drive.
Look for the option to "Make this disk bootable." You may have to scroll over the various icons displayed to find this option. Click on the option.
Burn the CD or DVD as usual. Once completed, this disk can be used to boot your computer. hope this helps
Turn the computer off.
Turn the computer on, and look for a message like "press BLAH to enter System Recovery".
When you see the message, press the BLAH key.
This will start a complete "restore-to-factory" install of Windows.
Or, if you have a set of "System Recovery" CD/DVD disks from HP, then insert the 1st disk,
restart your computer, and select to boot your computer from the CD/DVD drive.
Or, there may be software already on your computer that lets you "burn" a set of "System Recovery" CD/DVD disks -- have 10 CD-R disks, and 5 DVD-R disks -- you may need to use most of these "blank" disks.
when you try to save or burn any data to disk, you should use burning programs just like nero or any other burning program. at the time when you click the button burn, it always ask you to insert disk such as CD/DVD +R or RW
I have the same problem. When I insert a disk, my NAD T 550 DVD player displays 'No Disc'. It started with new disks while still reading older disks, but at some time it stopped recognizing any disk. Did you receive any suggestion yet or has anyone a suggestion?
Brain,
Is your drive supports DVD? Try to put a CD disc and see its reading or not. If this problem occurs for both CD's and DVD's discs then you might have problem in your drive lense. and if it only reads CD then your drive might not be supported for DVD's.
try to clean your drive lense using CD head cleaner, it might solve your problem, other than you have to replace your drive.
i would say for some reason your dvd player is not compatible from now on with that brand of blank dvd!
get the firmware update from the brand website all you do is download the file burnit on a cd and put it in the dvd player should fix most and eventual problems
