Blank screen i have a samsung d600 and the screen has gone totally blank, it turns on and the keypad lights up, but you cant see anything on the screen.
Their is a small ribbon wire connecting the screen to the rest of the phone, look on the net for tutes. and find the best one

Your display circuit is broken, even if the LCD-panel,
seems to be ok the display is damaged.
This is a very common problem in phones.
The only way to fix this is to change the display.
You need a T-5 or 6 Torx Skrewdriver to do the job.

hello, from the fault mentioned about the screen not coming on only the backlight, are you sure the phone didn't fall. if it didnt, then i can assure you that the problem is from the flex, that connects the screen to the keypad as a result of damage on the slide which is common in flip and slide phones.
the solution is for you to replace the flex of the phone. also known as the slide.
If formatting your phone doesnt help there are three possible problems in order of priority (1) your screen is gone and needs replaced (2) your ribbon cable is gone and needs replaced (3) phone needs flashed, I have repaired the first two above on many samsungs with this fault! Not an easy job! Hope this helps.
check if the back lamps are still on when you lose image, all you have
to do is get close to the screen and make is totally black and if is
not that means you have a back light working, but if the back light is
gone you may have a defective panel.

the same problem I had and the recommend to replace the power supply
first to confirm a defective panel because a panel is quite expensive
pull the battery from it for a little while , if that don't do it its probably a display chip inside and it can't be replaced , they have been having problems with the screens on these phones , does the phone still work for recieving and sending calls? its not likely but not impossible the screen went
You have to desmentle your phone then you clean up the flexi using isoprophyl alcohol clean the flexi together with flexi cleaper on the motherboard,avoied the ipa flowing dierect to the lcd. advice by dogy.
