Question about Philips 37PF7320A 37 in. HD-Ready LCD Television

No Picture, cannot power off without unplugging, flashing green light

The TV screen is Blank. I unplugged and replugged and I got a viewable screen for about 10 seconds then it went blank. I hear a clicking sound and the front indicating light is flashing green, but I cannot power down the unit without unplugging. I read somewhere I can replace a fuse. How do I do that?

    HI,

I've got the exact same issue with a 37PF5521D.

Flashing green led, blank screen, TV does not answer the remote other than modifying the pace of the flashing green LED.

Only way out of this so far is to unplug the TV, wait for 30 secs, and plug in again.

    Regards,

    Julien

The part is Replace an X-tal (Viper) on SSB item 1H00, order code: 242254301397. The small small signal board is the one with the video jack on it. It mat be easyer to replace the SSB but yes it will cost more.

Unplugged it. After looking for a new tv online I decided to try getting it to work. So, plugged it back in and held down the power button, a red light came on, held down the power button again and an orange light came on, held down power button again and green light came on and tv powered on. This was simply a case of trial and success!

unplug, hold power button, plug in. If that doesn't work, unplug all the HDMI cables, unplug the power, hold power button, plug back in.

Did you try unpluge from the wall, and repluging back after 10 min.
Also run the self diagnosis by pushing the menu and device buttons on the front and let me know the code?

Thanks

Try a "hard restart". which simply means unplugging the power cord of the TV, and replugging it after 4 hours have passed. This technique reprograms the electronics, to a certain extent.
You can also visit the manufacturer's website or call their tollfree number for problem solving info.
Hope these suggestions help you out.

Toshiba 43A61 - No Picture, no sound

If your set all of a sudden won't come on, e.g., the screen is blank, but the LED on the under the screen next to the on/off switch keeps flashing, then there may be an internal fault on the set that needs to be reset.
To force the reset, try this:
  • Unplug the set and wait a few seconds
  • Replug and see if the video returns
Whenever the set senses an internal fault through its monitoring circuitry, it essentially shuts down the set. The flashing LED provides the indication that a fault has been detected. Removing power to the set resets the monitoring circuitry. When plugged back in, the circuitry again does a check of the system. If it finds that there truly is a problem, then the set is shut down and the LED will again flash. In this case, you need to call a service tech. Most of the time, however, the unplug/replug routine is enough to get the set up and running.

Sony FWD50PX2/S 50 in. Plasma Television power problem

It does sound like a power supply problem but that can be misleading because a problem somewhere else in the TV can be "holding down" the power supply. This can usually be determined by using some isolation techniques.
