click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager sound video and game controllers could be a yellow question mark? right click to re-install drivers
click start control panel sounds and audio,volume,advanced,speakers make sure you have selected the
(((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there

I did not find a Biostar motherboard model number I945C-M7B or 945GC-M7 on Biostars web site.
I did come across a Biostar 948GC-M7 TE MB;

Create a folder on you're desktop and name it RealTek. Under, On-Board Audio: Download the audio program that matchs you're current operating system. (Windows XP, Vista, Win 2000 ECT).
Once downloaded run the WDM_R236.exe file. Find the Readme.txt for instructions on how to install/uninstall the Realtek audio driver software.

The Asus K8V-VM motherboard has an intergrated audio chip on the motherboard, Realtek ALC660. You need to enable it in the bios. If you do not have you're manual down load it from Asus; http://www.asus.com/Search.aspx?SearchKey=K8V-VM You'll also need Adobe reader installed to view the manual. Enter the bios menu. Open Advanced. See the top of page
2-21 in the manual. Set, High definition Audio to [Auto] Save and exit the bios. Also check out page 1-19. You can install the driver software from the Asus CD or download it from the Asus link provided above.

'Realtek High Definition Audio' is the name of the device, the driver for it is called something like WDM_235.exe
You should use only one audio device - if there are 2 it will be a conflict. 
First of all go to Start | Control Panel | System and Maintenance | System | Device Manager and see if you have another audio device and, if not, what is exactly the problem - most likely a bad driver install. If it's that then go directly to the Realtek site http://www.realtek.com.tw/DOWNLOADS/downloadsCheck.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=14&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false and download (as in Save, not Run) the latest driver. Once you have it remove all other Realtek driver present, reboot and after closing the New hardware window launch the one you downloaded. 

so yours is realtek high definition audio.
ok download the drivers from the following site they will work definitely.

Hey its is problem with drivers
Please follow the steps to resolve :-
1)Download the UAA drivers first from microsofts site
2) Download the Latest drivers from
http://www.realtek.com.tw/
PCI drivers + Latest Audio drivers
3) windows installed 3.0 / 3.1

4) now go into Add / Remove programs and uninstall the previous version on Realtek drivers also remove windows installer if available

5) now restart your systems

6) Now installe the windows installer first -> restart

7) now install the UAA drivers -> Restart

8) now install the Realteks latest version -> restart

If it does not solve your problems please do reply i have other trick too..::.. :-)

try this steps
When installing Sigmatel* or Realtek* audio drivers (either from the Express Installer CD or using the latest driver download available from the web), the installation may fail with either of the following error messages:
· Device Object not present, restart the system and run setup again.
· The system does not support the driver you are attempting to install.
The Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) High Definition Audio class driver for Windows* may be corrupted or causing problems with the audio driver installation.

To resolve this, try the following:
1. Click Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
2. Look for the following two items: Realtek* High Definition Audio Driver and High Definition Audio driver Package - KB888111.
3. If these items are listed in Add/Remove programs, remove them.
4. Restart Windows.
5. Download the latest audio driver for your desktop board from Download Center.
6. Double-click the filename to extract the files.
7. Go to the folder where the files have been extracted and browse to the \HDAQFE\xpsp2\us\ folder or the \MSHDQFE\Win2K_XP\us\ folder. (The name of this folder depends on your desktop board model.)
8. Double-click the file kb888111xpsp2.exe to install the High Definition Audio Driver Package.
9. Restart Windows.
10. Install the audio driver.
