AMP ERROR DISPLAY NO VOLUME

This is how to reset the receiver to factory default- not sure if it is the same reset you would do for an amp error:

Resetting the system
Use this procedure to reset all the receiver's settings to
the factory default. Use the front panel controls to do this.
1 Switch the receiver into standby.
2 While holding down the front panel STEREO/A.L.C
button, press and hold
u STANDBY/ON for about two
seconds.
The display shows RESET?.
3 Press the front panel AUTO SURR/STREAM DIRECT
button.
The display shows OK.
4 Press HOME THX to confirm.
OK appears in the display to indicate that the receiver
has been reset to the factory default settings.
Note that all settings will be saved, even if the
receiver is unplugged.

Unfortunately, amp errors are usually not fixable and require you to bring the receiver on for repairs or just buy a new receiver.

THANK YOU AGAIN SO MUCH! I basically got through the 1st step or so and the thing came right back on like nothing had ever happened. Although, I think what ended up working for me was actually pressing and holding the STANDBY/ON button with the AUTO SURR/STREAM DIRECT button together for a few seconds....I didn't have to reset to factory settings, nor did I have to do step 3 or 4.

Now the receiver is working just fine like nothing ever happened. All of the input AND output speaker channels all seem to be functioning normally and in peak form, and I've made sure that I have the area around the receiver well ventilated. So....thank you, again...for getting back to where I really wanted to be without having to go through the hassles of disconnecting everything and having it serviced with possible $ and time expenses.

Motorola DVR Model DCX3501-M front display shows the channel selection. I want it to display the time of day and only show the channel selection when I am changing channels. The manual is of no help

It is a cable provider setup within the menu. On charter here are the steps - menu, TV guide main menu, setup, Cable box setup, front LED display.... I don't know what these other people are trying to answer for you...lol. You can also adjust the brightness display by pressing power followed by menu (starting with the tv on).

Sharp LC37D44U Power LED was flashing green. TV would turn on, channel indicator shows in upper right corner, sound good, but screen would be black. Channel indicator disappears but screen is still...

I had the same problem. all the service reset would only make the display come on for a few second with no "k" on the screen - only the channel would show up. I purchased a complete set of board for the lcd on ebay, and started swapping them one by one. The inverter boards were the culpret. Tele working 100% since that board swap.
