Model 55P8341A my tv randomly was shuting off. after letting is set for about 5 minutes it would turn back on. It randomly shut off and now will not turn back on. I have unpluged the set and plugged it back in. the on/off led stays lit up.
i have the same problem but before that happened i was having problems with picture clarity, and color. Would this be related to the small signal board? i've read that this is supposed to be a common problem with this model.i have the same problem but before that happened i was having problems with picture clarity, and color. Hello,
It sounds as if you are having problems with the AC Power reaching the television. Please verify the cord is firmly seated the tv's ac inlet
Also check the wall outlet (and power strip) by plugging in a lamp into it and see if it flickers when the tv shuts off.
Good Luck!

The next time it shuts down (I presume the green power light goes off) do the self check this model has, on front of set press and hold both the menu and input buttons for at least five seconds and release both.
Power light will blink a 2 digit error code like : 1 blink, 2 blink and repeat it several times.
1,2 is no error detected but there are other codes.
Check that you have not got an auto power off setting on. Check that the aerial connections are good. That the signal is strong from the stations it is picking up. Weak signals can cause the box to shut down.
It the box is very hot when it shuts down, you might have a fault on it.
TV shutting off automatically means its a problem with the Lamp. Contact Pioneer or any local tech shop or Best buy and get the same replaced. Turning off after specific time : Go to the timer option and disable the Automatically Switch off option. This will resolve the issue. Please let me know if it worked. If you need the user manual or instruction manula please click on the link below http://www.generalmanual.com/Televisions/Sanyo-DP19647-Wide-Screen-Integrated-Digital-LCD-HDTV.htm. Hope this will be of help to you.
Does the power indicator blink? Let me know and I will try to help you out. Just keep responding to this same psot so previous info will still be available.
