No PPD available for mac

Has anyone found a PPD that will work to enable printing to a Ricoh BP20N from mac workstations (OSX 10.4.10) on a local (ethernet) network? There is no PPD for this printer supplied from Ricoh - and although it shows up on our local network ready to talk as a bonjour connected device it won't work without a suitable driver installed on each mac workstation wanting to use it.

I used the Gutenprint driver for the Ricoh 220. It seems to be working fine.

I bought a Ricoh aficio sp100 only found that is was not support on the mac OS, is there any solution to it?

I am pasting this post from the Apple support communities website. There are 60 communications on this topic and I am pasting the one that jumped out at me. It's been my experience more than once over years (25+) that I've been able to get a printer or two to print - when I was told I couldn't. Might be worth a look here - and be sure to note his last sentence here. Good luck:

This helped me....and suddenly it worked !!!!

The way I've done it: delete every Ricoh Printer and related drivers from Ricoh from your machine. Connect to network and open any printable document. Klick "Print" and sroll down the printer list in the print menu window. There I found the Ricoh as available (but not installed). I klicked on it - Max OSX configured the Printer, installed the driver and voila it worked ! On a Ricoh without Postscript Option! I think the real problem was the original PS-driver from Ricoh. The MacOSX generic Ricoh seems to support PCL.

Cant get the canon imagerunner c3220 to print from imac macosx -10

This is a tricky one. The newer MAC OSX does not like the older printer drivers. It usally requires extra software from Apple to deal with these products. Now that being said it should load by itself. I can tell you without a doubt you can not use the self installer as it will fail each and every time. To keep it simple get ip address of the iRC3220 and go in to you printer install and point it to the PPD file which you can get from the Canon website. Final point... There is a different PPD for iRC3200 with Fiery (C1 print controllers) and one without. They are not cross compatible. You will see iRC3200 with C1 and one just saying iRC3200. Pick the right one. Oops one more point the Queue name will be just the word print. Good Luck.

Where can I download the driver for Mac os x 10.5.8 to run a ricoh cl7200 please and what kind of size will the down load be. Thank you

Hi, you can get the CL7200 driver for a Mac OS X 10.5 from the Ricoh website here:

http://ricoh-usa.com/downloads/downloads.aspx?d=ds

Just search for CL7200 under Drivers, and then agree to the site's terms of service. The Print Utility download for the Mac is 319 KB; you can click the link under Download. You can also download the PPD Installer (193 KB) and the PANTONE Color Palette (11,261 KB).

Ricoh Adicio on a mac

Your machine requires the Postscript option installed in order to print from your Mac. The printer is printing gibberish because it cannot understand the postscript driver from the Mac. .
