Hi, I asked a refrigeration company if they can check and repair a fridge seal. He said he'd come and take a look the following week-when he didn't arrive, I rang- he told me he didn't remember making

There was never a mention of a fee, not the first time I rang, Nore the second, Nore when he actuall did arrive. I had told him I would call him if I wanted to proceed.

Maybe I'm not getting the whole story but you claim you called a repairman, he didn't show, so you called him again and then he came to look at your refrigerator and when he looked it over he then presented you with a bill for his time which you feel you should not have to pay for?? If this is correct then you're wrong. You can't have a repairman come to your house and expect NOT to pay for a least a service call.

My Everstar Franklin Beverage Fridge doesn't cool. I had Freon put in and the Fridge cooled for about 2 weeks, then back to a warm Fridge. Any ideas? Is it worth the fix?

Question edited for clarity, 'frig' to 'fridge'.

When the service company put the refrigerant gas in, it sounds like they didn't check for leaks. You could bring them back under the repair warranty.

Worth the fix? If it is the small home type fridge, probably not worth spending money on it as they are inexpensive. If it is a larger class fronted commercial unit, it probably is worth it.

Bought Bush fridge freezer 13 months ago. fridge broke down twice with same problem. defrost timer. Can i complain to bush

you can ask again for it to be looked at repaired
even if it is out of warranty
fixed twice during warranty period (for free i hope )

if point of sale will not refund or repair or replace fridge freezer

you will need lots of paper work receipts of repairs and calls and conversations made etc etc
then you have to take the company /manufacturer of the bush fridge freezer to small claims court and try to get money back

Every time the refrigerator door is closed, the freezer door pops open. How can we better secure the seals?

My new freezer did the same thing. I contacted the company and they went into the whole leveling thing. What it has to do with is the magnetic seal. The magnets are not strong enough to keep the freezer door from popping open when closing the big fridge door. They share the same duct. I level my doors on the fridge and freezer so they swing shut by themselves after opening. Just the force of the big door when it swung closed cracked open the freezer door about a quarter of an inch and if left unnoticed created a puddle and made the fridge run overtime. I solved the problem by placing strong magnets inside the fold of the magnetic seal at the handle end of the door. This is the flap on the outside the door seal. I used six magnets on the top and six on the bottom. The magnets were from discarded Sonicare tooth brush heads. They are very flat and super strong. You can find something on ebay. My freezer door doesn't budge problem solved. I did call the company and told them I solved the problem and they still insisted it was the leveling. Good luck, Art Knapp

Hi, I bought a Thermador built-in refrigerator T30IR7ONSP in November 2008 and I have had a custom-made front cupboard installed. Since a few weeks, there is water coming from the bottom of the fridge...

Could be the water line to and inside the refrigerator is leaking. Unfortunately, most likely the repair person will need total access to the unit to find where the problem is.

How do you put freeon into a Kitchenaid fridge?

Good day,
No, it should never need refrigerant. It's a sealed system. It could well be another issue. Since it's only 6 weeks old, unless physically damaged, all repairs to the machine would be under factory warrant. Call your selling dealer for details.

Fan keeps stopping

Don't worry about that. There is nothing wrong with your refrigerator. Every company is asked to follow some norms of power saving and you just witnessed that. The fridge is cold enough. If you are doubtful about that, Just check out with a thermometer.

I OP A HOLE IN THE REFIGERATOR AND HEAR AN AIR

Hi, unfortunately that is likely the gas escaping the sealed system...or what used to be the sealed system. You will likely need a new fridge unless you can find a shop or technician who can repair it economically via an epoxy & evacuation/recharge or some other "legal" means. You'll need to check your local and state laws, or check with a local appliance repair shop/service company. Hope that answer's your question. Thanks for visiting "fixya" today.
