Unless you have changed the drive letter assignments, the C: drive is your hard disk with the operating system and applications. Drive D: is the optical disc drive. The directions merely mean: open the file explorer (My Computer (WinXP) or Computer (Vista)) and double click on the optical drive with the Learning Quickbooks CD. (The booklet for the CD assumes that auto-run isn't being used. In that case, you wouldn't need the drive letter information. It may be that they didn't include auto-run to make it easier to go through the tutorials and restart at different points.) Once you have the file explorer open for the CD, follow the rest of the directions from the booklet.
