Hi,
You have to go the menu of the tv and have to change aspect ration setting to 16:9. Here i have added the link the the manual of the tv which will help you to know how you access the settings. www.electro-medical.blogspot.com
My 3 year old Sharp LC-40C32U would start up fine but within a minute
would go dark (audio continued fine). For a while I could turn the set
off and on again and it would be fine, but over time this became less
effective. My solution, which has worked for a week now, was to a)
unplug the set's power cord; b) after 3 minutes plug it back in and
turn the set on; c) on the remote hit MENU and slide over to SETUP (3
clicks to the right if the screen is dark) and one up to RESET; d) hit
ENTER and follow the prompts. This puts the set in it's factory
configuration so you will have to rescan for channels. Worked for me.
Contact Sharp to locate the nearest authorized Sharp servicer. Sharp Aquos servicers have to give Aquos TV top priority. Sharp provides very good and fast serice on these sets.
Some newer TV's are equipped with a ROOM SENSOR which will change the Contrast and Brightness according to the amount of light going into the Sensor.
While watching DVD's or Movies the output of light from the TV screen changes sometimes affecting the Sensor.
While Computers are pretty consistent with light output.
Go into your TV Menu and look for ROOM SENSOR or something similar and turn it off.
If not then check in the TV Menu Video controls and see if there are any Contrast or Brightness functions set to AUTO.
If so grab a DVD with THX and they have a TV Calibration that is very easy to set-up your TV too.
The problem has been resolved on it's own. I'm guessing that maybe my cable company had changed the display setting on some of the stations. The picture of stations that I noticed the problem on appear to be within the screen.
First and foremost you need to change one of two things. Either your video output settings on your xbox 360, or use an hdmi cable as opposed to component cables. Component cables are only designed to output video up to 1080i, not 1080p(big difference). So if you try to run a output signal of 1080p with cables only made to send 1080i, you will have picture issues.

I don't have an aspect/screen option on my menu under any of the tabs
