Trying to install a sony cd player

Usually red is pos. goes to constant power source. Orange or yellow to keyed power source. Blue is for power ant. and matched wires are your speaker wires. Match these to yours cars wires. Oh black goes to ground.

remove the cd player and if that fixes the problem then seek professional help in the installation of the cd player. Electronic systems in cars are voltage sensitive and balanced so if you tap into the wrong power source it affects the CPU settings.

May be an amp trigger wire, Light green, not getting signal back from new stereo. Check against old plug.

this could be your CD player itself, or the power getting to it. If you have installed the player after-market, then there is a possibility that the power cord has come unplugged, or a wire splice on the wiring harness has disconnected ... check the player itself, and the wiring harness that it attaches to. There is also a small fuse on the CD player itself (usually on the back of the player near the power cord)... if this has blown out, replacing it should fix the problem. Well, if you push the cd button and no cd player is installed, then you can try a salvage yard to find one and have an auto electric shop install it for you.

Otherwise, you can go to a place like Best Buy, and have them install a cd changer, like a Sony, for instance, that plays through a certain FM stereo frequency on your radio and they might be able to make it so that it powers up when you hit the cd button, although

many times they'll just have it power up on your ignition key being on, and you have to remember what frequency or preset on your radio to have to hear the cd-player play.

Yes, that would be fine, make sure you solder the wires and tape well or use shrink tube on the connections.

my 2001 ml 320 when i press cd button it says no cd player installed massage. There is 6 cd changer in the back of the car ., Any suggestion for fix the cd player?

In the mix of wires there will be a constant wire. this is usually labeled on the back of your deck this is the wire that need to be hooked into the hot wire. this will provide constant power to the radio that will help it keep the time,position on cd when powered off and other info.

there might be a amp in the car , so you need to make sure the blue wire off the sony radio is hook up the the remote wire to the stock amp
