If you're willing to shoot in the Postcard mode (only about 2 megapixels, throwing away the other 6 megapixels you paid for), see pages 70-72 of the manual: http://www.fixya.com/support/p10213555-canon_powershot_a720is_8mp_digital_camer/usermanual-9481E60-pdf

However, the date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

I TOOK PICTURES AND THE DATE WAS NOT SET CORRECTLY NOW THE STAMP ON THE PICTURE HAS THE WRONG DATE HOW DO I CORRECT IT ... I DO NOT WAS TO PRINT ANY OF THESE WITH WRONG DATES PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!

You cannot change the dates on the taken photos using the camera.
Copy the pictures to your PC, and use a graphic editor to put the new date.
It is a very difficult task to change the date displayed. Therefore insert a button-like graphic on top of the date and put the correct date over that.

My camera shows that the date and time are set up but date does not print on picture when developed. it's a new camera and I just developed my first set of prints and there is no date on any of them. ...

On digital cameras, the data is stored with the filename. Check the back of your prints to see if the dates were not printed there. Most companies do put at least the date information on the back of the prints as well as any other metadata stored with the file produced by the digital camera. Unlike film cameras, which could only record the date by actually putting it on the picture, digital pictures contain metadata that can include things such as people tags, location tags (geotagging), etc. depending upon the capabilities of your camera. The date and time is always stored along with the filename on all digital cameras. If the company that printed your pictures did not include the date on the back of the picture, ask them if they can do it or find another source to print your pictures that can.

If this did not address your issue, please reply with any amplifying information so that I may more accurately address your issue.

I hope this helped!

Does the kodak easy share 183 have the date option on the picture

Sorry, it does not put the date/time stamp on a picture. However, it does embed the date/time the picture was taken in the metadata (extra info in the image file beyond just the picture), so you can sort on your computer by date taken.

Canon sd 750 how to put the date in the picture?

here is the solution:
The date and time can be included on the pictures taken only with the camera in postcard mode. You must also activate the date stamp option in the menu.
To set the camera into postcard mode, press the [Func.] button on the camera, then use the [arrow down] key to go down to the last option in the menu, and there you can choose the [Postcard mode]. Press [Func.] again to exit the function menu.

Sony DSC-W55, how to make the date to appear on the picture itself?

This camera doesn't give you the option to have the dates on the pictures. The manual says there is a Picture Motion Browser software that comes with the camera that could do it.
Hope that helps.

Date on print

You can only print with date and by date when you are using a memory card, but when you're printing directly from a camera you should have an option or a setting on the camera to print the date information. Hope this help...
