I've gone to Startech.com and downloaded the correct driver for the ec1s952 STARTECH 1 PORT EXPRESSCARD SERIAL ADAPTER CARD. However, the 32-bit drivers keep stating it's not for a 32-bit machine, please find 32-bit drivers. Windows Update can't find the drivers for this device either. Any help would be appreciated!
Device comes up as PCI Serial Port. Tried Windows Update and drivers from Startech.com's site, won't find it.Device comes up as PCI Serial Port. Tried Windows Update and drivers from Startech.com's site, won't find it.

Although I dont understand your statement " will not read a card reader" since you state a problem with the Syba Infozone cable.
Is the problen your USB 3 port or the Syba cable.
I did a little digging and found that Radio Shack actually stopped carrying the Gigaware card, BUT they have a new card from Startech and guess what it looks almost exactly identical to. Long story short I tried the drivers for the Startech version and it installed without a hitch and detected the card right away.
Here are the drivers I used. http://www.startech.com/Cards-Adapters/USB-3.0/Cards/2-Port-PCI-Express-SuperSpeed-USB-3-Card-Adapter~PEXUSB3S2
Go to www.drivers-download.com and search for DL-0254103 from "Drivers Search". Or you can use an alternate site: www.prolific.com.tw Use this path: Download >> USB to Port Controllers I/O >> PL-2303 Software and Drivers.
maybe the pci card have any problem that conflicts with your mouse,so try that to another computer,or myabe that pci card is now with that operating system " check the OS available"
have you installed drivers for the card, as windows might know what it is but it wont be able to use it till the drivers are installed click below onto what version of windows you have and download the drivers
Windows XP/VISTA (do not install the CD) 1)Plug the cable into the USB port on your computer. 2)A prompt that says "Found New Hardware" will appear. Windows will then install the USB printing support driver automatically. You do not need to install the driver from the CD. 3)Plug the cable into the printer. 4)If your printer is already installed, click on Start, then Printers & Faxes. Right click on the printer you are connecting to and click on Properties. Click on the Ports tab and check the ‘Virtual printer port for USB’ port. Click OK. 5)You should now be able to print.
With XP, the biggest clue is to FIRST plug the cable into the usb slot, THEN the other end of the cable into the printer.
