Take out the litium battery.Plug in the charger adaptor alone to get power, see if the portable DVD player work.Yes,than the litium battery is dead, not taking in any charges.Tries websites like Partstore.com,Amazon.com,Ebay.com to buy a new exact litium battery or a compatible litium battery.

Can I Trickle Charge A Car Battery With A Portable Car Jumper?

I don't think so.
The portable unit may have a lithium ion battery - way different charging method vs. lead acid car battery.
Trickle chargers don't cost very much - just go buy one.

Batt will not charge, i bought a new one and it not charge up either. plays dvd just fine what is going on?

Hello,

That simply shows the fault is not from the battery.

Have you checked if the charger is working fine?, first check if the charger is working fine by testing it on another lasonic pdl305 portable dvd player to see if it is working.

If it does not work then you have to replace the charger.

The next thing to check is the charging port, to test this, try to use a tested ok charger on it to see if it works.

If it does not, then you can tell it is the charging port that has a problem. All you have to do is replace the charging port.

That is How you detect the fault and fix it.

Dvd player wont charge wether it's from home or from a car charger

Hello,

There seem to be a problem with either the battery or the charging port.

unscrew the player, locate the battery and replace it with a new one, then try to charge.

but if it does the same, then the problem is from the charging port.

replace the charging port ant it will be okay.

Insignia PD10135 Portable DVD Player Battery won't work

I have the same unit, and had the same problem numerous times. I finally removed the battery and sprayed CRC electronic cleaner over the battery terminals as well as the units terminals. Put the battery back in hooked up the charger and it went green. It is playing as I write this.
