Time and Date of all the received calls

Hello, We bought a new GE 28213 Cordless Phone. When someone calls us, we can see the caller's number, but, the time and date of that call is not being recorded. How to solve this issue? We want to know the time and date of all the incoming calls along with the caller's phone number. Please let us know the solution for this issue. Thank you, Ram Kishore.

    Hello Flank, for this model there is no facility to set the time and date on the main phone. It is just a holder for the handset. However, the time and date are shown correctly on the handset. But, when we receive any incoming call, only the caller's phone number is recorded, but not the time and date. When we referred the user manual, it says that this phone has the capacity to store time, date and number. What would you suggest now? Along with the caller's number, time and date are also equally important. Am I correct?

I would check with your service provider. It maybe just a programming error in the switch from there.

hi all called thompsons becasue mine did the same ...they said to reset phone un plug ac then phone line from base then remove battery them let set for 10-15 min . re hook up and its back to basics.

Another fix is to register the phone again. I do not have to de-register it first. Also, be patient. Sometimes when I take the handset from the base it searches for the base. If I push the talk button before it finishes searches, it beeps. Once it has found the base, it is ready to go. I have Verizon voice mail and it seems that when I have a message waiting it causes the phone to de-register.

to set the time the instructions are on page 9 of the instruction manual in the getting started section.

in case you no longer have the manual....

1. press the tick/menu button twice.
2. press 0 and you hear 'to set the day and time press Star, to hear the day and time press Square.
3. press star. you hear 'please enter new day and time after the tone' enter the day (1=sun, 2=mon etc) enter the time using 24hr clock.
4. press the X/security button twice to exit.

Caller ID (CID) is a service available from your telephone provider that shows the phone number (and sometimes the caller's name) of incoming calls. Contact your telephone provider for more information.
Caller ID list



Redial list



When a call comes in, the phone displays the number and name (if available) of the caller.
The phone saves the information for the last 30 received calls to the

CID list.
When it's in standby, the handset shows how many calls came in since the last time you checked the CID list.


Each handset remembers the last 5 numbers you dialed on it. The redial list is separate for each handset.

How ddo I change the date?

The time and date will update automatically when you receive a call as long as you receive caller id from the telephone service provider. Current time and date are part of the Caller ID data stream. Once the time is received the Fanstel unit will keep time from there and it will be updated every time you get a new call.

UNIDEN TRU8888-CALLER ID DOES NOT WORK

Thanks for using FixYa. I think you have stored more than 100 Caller ID messages and hence the caller ID is not showing on Uniden Tru8888. In the following cases the caller ID will not be shown-

If you answer a call before the Caller ID message is received (for example, before the second ring), the Caller ID message will not appear.

When the call is received via a telephone company that does not offer Caller ID service, the caller’s phone number and name does not appear. (This includes some international calls.)

When the call is via a private branch exchange (PBX), the caller's phone number and name may not appear.

You may receive any one of the following messages:

When a private name is received; Private Name
When a private number is received; Private Number
When a unknown name is received; Unknown Name
When a unknown number is received; Unknown Number
When invalid data is received; Incomplete Data

The Caller ID list stores information for incoming calls - even unanswered calls. You can store up to 100 Caller ID messages and phonebook entries (including Speed Dials) for each handset and the base. You can view the Caller ID list through the handset or base during a call or when the phone is in standby mode.

Memory locations for Caller ID messages and Phonebook entries (including Speed Dials) are common, you can store up to all 100 entries for each handset and the base. Caller ID messages are not stored when you have 100 phonebook entries. When you have stored a total of 100 phonebook entries and Caller ID messages, the oldest Caller ID message is overwritten.

GE Model 28213 Series DECT 6.0

Yay I just found someone give this as the reason why and how to fix it! Hope it helps, i'm going to try it and see what happens. Its better than unplugging it every time I want to use it!

Caller ID

Even at its factory defaults your Siemens handset should be showing the caller id after the second ring. Look at your time and date on the phone, if they are not accurate then the caller id signal is not coming through since when activated caller id will not only give you the caller information, but it syncs with the telephone companys clock too. If I were there, I would take a phone that is known to have its caller id working and plug it in your line and see if caller id shows up on it. If it does show caller id, then there is something wrong with your Siemens base. If it does not, then your phone company dropped the ball and caller id is not activated. Then I would take the Siemens phone to another line (neighbor or friend) that has working caller id and plug my Siemens into it and see if it shows up. Doing all that will isolate your problem, I guarantee it.

Caller ID is not working in India.

For people who have purchased cordless phone in usa and caller id is not working they should purchase fsk to dtmf converter at any local phone shop and caller id will start working.

Here is the article on various frequency used by various countries for caller id.

Detailed Product Description

There are 3 major caller ID specifications in the world: DTMF, ETSI FSK and Bellcore FSK. When users buy a foreign telephone devices(such as cordless phone, fax machine or computer telephony interface), may encounter the problems of non-match for caller ID standard. This will cause the device unable to display the caller ID. EX220 can solve this problem easily. This product can receive all 3 kinds of caller ID format, and convert to FSK(Bellcore or ETSI selectable) to match foreign telephone's standard.
EX220 has a rechargeable battery inside the device, during idle status, it gets power from the telephone line and recharge the battery, so no need to use or replace battery. Just plug one end to telephone line, and the other to the telephone device.
For example, if you live in Netherlands, Saudi or India, the caller ID standard is DTMF. You purchased a cordless caller ID phone from US(which uses Bellcore FSK standard), or from Germany(which uses ETSI FSK standard). You won't be able to use the caller ID feature. In this case, just get one EX220 and connect it between the telephone line and the cordless phone, your cordless caller ID phone will display the caller's number immediately.
Remark:
1. Telephone sets for UK and Japan standard are not applicable.
2. In some countries, users must subscribe to Telecom for caller ID service

CALLER ID ONLY SHOWS "INCOMING CALL"

I was using this site while trouble shooting this in the US...
If the customer has DSL with filters in the same system go back to the NID and Isolate the DSL,
test the caller id and call waiting caller id. If this works you have Data Bleed coming from the DSL.
Make sure there are not two sets of filters on the line. Tjis customer had a filter with the DSL modem.

Doing this we just fixed an on going problem for a field tech who was the second callout on a customer issue.

Can not set any settings
