Question about Lenovo ThinkPad SL300 Notebook - 27384EU
If it is an LCD, there is a back light. That is usually fluorescent so there is an inverter. If it is an LED display, there is no back light as such so no inverter.
All the service manual recommends is to change the DC-DC converter board, followed by the System Board, if that doesn't work the complete display unit.
