A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).

I think that Lexmark.com would have the printer drivers available for download.

Hello sir; Before you open cover your printer have to be power on condition,when you open the cover the carriage it will automatically move to the center.

usually drivers can be found on the manufacturer's website. download it and save it on your computer.

Up until it just broke today I have been using a LEX73. I used an old computer, I mean like a Pentium One and connected the LEX to it and then shared it. I was able to print across the network to it from my Vista laptop with no issues.

Vista has issues with a lot of printers.

Usually downloading and installing the latest drivers from the Lexmark website fixes most of them.

Could be a driver conflict, with parts of old driver left in registry or similar. Try completely uninstaling all printer references (driver files) from device manager before a reinstall. Are you very sure your new driver downloads are not corrupt. Try downloading again to make sure. I use a little program called revo uninstaller to take all program references off my pc. It removes tiny traces left behind in the registry.
