TIVO Remote How do I get my Zenith TV to accept the code? I have found the code and it works but I can't get it to accept the code. What do I do?

Your tv doesn't accept the code. The tivo remote uses the code that is programmed in it to control your tv. Go through settings and tell it you want to program your remote for your tv and follow the on screen instructions.

I need code for RCA TV for Tivo remote

Go to http://support.tivo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/294/kw/code%20search/c/105/r_id/100041 and under Programming TV Power, Volume and Mute, click on "show the steps".

Follow the instructions given.

The RCA remote codes are 0163, 0001, 0004, 0006, 0011, 0029, 0030, 0057, 0071, 0133, 0145, 0106, 0171, 0231, 0232, and 2210.

Try each of these codes one at a time (as per instructions) until you find one that works.

This link also gives instructions on what to do if none of the above codes work.

If it were a Tivo series 3 you might have better luck with it.

I've had my series 2 Tivo for about 2 1/2 years and never found the correct codes for it. I think it works off of a list of TVs manufactures about 3 years ago.

Remote to my tivo won't work my on/off and volume on Akai TV

I recently bought a used LCT2060 that had no remote. I figured my comcast cable remote would work without a problem but it didn't. So 3 universal remotes later I found my solution...a radio shack

universal gamer remote. It controls up to 5 components plus your xbox360, playstation and pc. The price on sale was a mere 12.97, not bad if you ask me. Hope this helped. The code that worked for the Akai

automatic code search. this may take a while to do but it works. hold the directv button and tv power until the red light stays on. while its on press the channel up button (this will search for a code). release and test with the tv power button. if the tv does not turn off, press the channel up button again and test with the tv power. when the tv finally goes off, press the enter/last button (bottom right corner of the remote) to store the code
